World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) Competitions
WRO
WRO UAE is the national version of the international World Olympiad, which
is a prominent technology event for students to showcase their technical skills and
take part in an excellent learning experience that develops their capabilities and skills.
ROBOSPORT Teams design robots that compete with robots of another team. In a
match two teams each have 2 robots on the field. The robots are coded
to play the game autonomously and collaborate with each other where
possible.
FUTURE Is a self-driving car competition. Students will design a model car, equip
it with electromechanical components, and program it so it will be able
ENGINEERS to autonomously drive on a track and avoid obstacles.

Tynker Python Web Development Web Design C++ MIT APP Inventor
TYNKER - Students will use the Tynker website to answer and code the questions.
WEB DESIGN - Students are presented with a website design with clear instructions and
requirements.
WEB - Students must develop a website that includes JavaScript with clear
instructions and requirements.
DEVELOPMENT
MIT APP - Students receive images and videos of an app, for which they must
develop a similar app using MIT App Inventor.

This category provides a platform for individuals to showcase their skills and
creativity in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, fostering
innovation and collaboration in these diverse, as it includes open-source
competitions such as Graphic design and mathematics.
MAXIMA A free and open-source math software, where students will have
several math questions (algebra, calculus...).
GIMP free and open-source software for image editing and manipulation
(like Adobe Photoshop). Students are given a series of photos and
the same photos with different manipulations that they must
produce identically.
RUBIK The Rubik's Cube is not just a fun, non-electronic gaming device,
but an amazing cube that challenges many human organs: Hands,
CUBE eyes, brain, memory.
VIDEOGRAPHY The student media team covers the event and produces short video
(1-3 minutes) and presents it to the judges. Team participation is
limited only to the first or second day.
