DESCRIPTION:
DDM = Driver Door Module
PDM = Passenger Door Module
RDM = Rear Door Module
LIN = Local Interconnect Network
The customer may complain of no rear door functionality and/or the workshop may experience a software
download failure due to DDM or PDM (module stuck in programming mode after the failed download).
This may be caused by an open circuit in the LIN network between the front door module (DDM or
PDM) and the rear door module (RDM). Refer to the attached wiring diagram TJ 34445.png. If you have
confirmed there is an open circuit between the front door module and the rear door module please follow
the advice under service.

SERVICE:
There is an unidentified splice in the LIN wire that runs between the front door module and the rear door
module (passenger or driver).
Please inspect the splice using the instruction shown in the following video:

This splice can also be found using the Splice Location shown in Vida (use the path shown below -
image also attached to this TJ Vida_Splice_Locator.PNG)
- Vida -> Information -> Repair -> Component Location -> 371 Cables -> Splice Location L.H.D.

Yes, please submit a TIE Vehicle Report if the service solution described in this TJ has no effect.
Use concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support needed”, use function group 8317.
