Considering the changes that are occurring or have occurred in the 21 st

Century, draw in the box how a classroom would look to respond to the new
teacher education curricula of the 21st Century.

Self-Reflect (Submit this as your output)

How do you picture yourself as a teacher of the future? Reflect and write
your answer in the box provided below.

I see myself as a teacher who works very hard to make my subject simple and
enjoyable. I am aware that not everyone like math, so as a prospective teacher, I
must be successful. If I notice that they are having trouble, maybe I should adjust
the way I teach the subject. I should teach a student how he learns if he can't
learn how I teach.

task and long-term teaching and learning goals, they put the
thinking skill of analysing and evaluating into practice. They make
decisions regarding what they have, what day will need, and when
and how to measure students development. Through critical
thinkers investigate any significant topic with deliberate steps.
Critical thinking is indeed the art of analysing and evaluating
thinking with a view to improving it. They inquire and gather data
then construct and test their hypothesis. They maintain a high
standard of excellence, are self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-
corrective, and have an open mind.
 Creativity
The teacher can find effective teaching methods, a class opening
that is both elegant and effective, practical assessment methods,

school teacher’s classroom management skills by looking into their
classroom management competencies.

 Coordinating with Others

When teachers work together with other teachers and students, a
project can benefit from the interest, backgrounds, and skills of
each other. When teachers collaborate they can assign task based
on the personalities and areas of competence of each team
member. When educators collaborate they develop significant
professional and interpersonal ties that help foster a deeper sense
of trust and accountability. It also gives teachers the confidence to
use their most innovative skills to improve their schools. teachers

their students, foster a positive emotional climate in the classroom,
which improves the learning environment for students and make
teachers more effective in ensuring academic success. Researchers
have found that teachers emotional intelligence has an impact on
the level of comfort, self-efficacy, work satisfaction, and strengthens
social connection with students. As a result, emotional intelligence
has a direct impact on how students are thought and how they
learn. One hopes that effective instructors possesses you'd
emotional abilities. Emotional intelligence predicts good outcomes
in all areas of life, and as a result, eight rules all areas of education.
To regulate their own emotions and aid children, teachers need to
receive emotional intelligence learning. Due to this, emotional
intelligence is now crucial for both students and teachers.

 Judgment and Decision-making

Teachers who are empowered to make decisions look to their
students as a guide for what to teach next. The activities in the
classroom and the students who attend them serve as the basis for
the instructional decisions. It is assumed that teachers and students
will know what is best. It promotes resonance and offers individual a
sense of control over their lives, which lower their anxiety.
Additionally, it promotes self-discovery and aids in the development
of their ideals. As educators, good decision-making expedites the
solution of problems and places the condition makers in a position

 Negotiation
Without the active participation of teachers and students, the
teaching and learning process is not complete. The success of the
teaching and learning process depends on interaction between
the teacher and the student. One of the most important abilities a
teacher must possess while managing a class is negotiation. Since
teachers and students come from various generations, it's crucial to
keep lines of communication open to foster a mutual respect and

Self-Reflect (Submit this as your output)

Are you ready for IR 4.0? What skills should you develop more in order not to be
redundant/replaced by robots?

There is still a chance that instructors could be replaced by robots in the future
due to the constant developments in our society. These human-made robots
may have the knowledge and skills of a teacher, but they will never be able to
take the position of a teacher who empathizes and uses emotional intelligence.
Robots may be intelligent, but they lack the ability to relate to and feel the
emotions and feelings of students. I believe that it is crucial for me to retain and
develop my emotional intelligence when teaching and assisting kids in their
learning, in addition to attending trainings for educators to enhance their
knowledge and talents. Being able to relate to and feel for the students is one of
a teacher's best qualities. It is important to see whether your students are
exhausted or if there are some changes happening to them, because with that
will identify what is wrong and what needs to be solved.

Lesson 8.3

1. A responsive curriculum adapts itself to the needs of a dynamic

community. How did the Department of Education do this to respond to
the COVID crisis?

Throughout the pandemic, the department of education use flexible

teaching and learning practices to build a sustainable curriculum. The
department of education chose an online distribution strategy to assure
learning continuity. However, based on observations and investigation,
boat and students and teachers struggled with this medium because they
were generally and familiar with it. this become the reason why other
delivery modes were offered or implemented by the department of
education, which includes online, alternative delivery mode, distance
learning, home-schooling, and alternative learning systems.

2. Among the various curriculum delivery modes, which will be most

effective in your particular setting in times of crisis? Why?

Distance learning is the most instructional approach during the pandemic

since it delivers courses to students video, television and numerous social
media outlets because face to face communication is limited, this kind of
instruction and shows that the learning process is consistent. Furthermore,
distance education allows students with physical or health limitations,
particularly those who live in rural places or are unable to attend school,
to participate in non-physical learning.

1. Do we need to have a crisis to think of decongesting curriculum for greater

focus on the most essential? Should this happen only in times of crisis like
COVID?
Firstly, students and teachers have realized how exhausting is to be on
screens all day long. Remote learning has reminded us that powerful
learning can only happen when we are engaged, energetic and
focused. If it becomes a question of filling in hours then we are missing the
point. Second, schools have understood that this is not just remote
learning, it is learning during a pandemic. Anxiety, uncertainty, fear and
isolation have become more prevalent. Checking in with students to
make sure that they are coping has become extremely important, as has
allowing students opportunities to connect with one another in chats or
video conferences during remote lessons. Thirdly, many students have
been left behind because of lack of access to appropriate bandwidth or
devices and lack of school readiness while others have been able to
accelerate their digital learning through sophisticated software, access to
high performing devices and highly trained teachers.

This digital divide has been exacerbated by the crisis and will leave gaps
in many children’s learning. Governments, districts, and schools must make
every effort to ensure that systems and infrastructures are able to cope
with future lockdowns to minimize this. The appropriate strategy in most
countries is to use all possible delivery modes with the infrastructure that
exists today. Use online tools to assure that lesson plans, videos, tutorials,
and other resources are available for some students and probably, most
teachers. But also, podcasts and other resources that require less data
usage. Working with telecommunication companies to apply zero-rate
policies can also facilitate learning material to be downloaded on a
smartphone, which more students are likely to have. Radio and TV are
also very powerful tools. The advantage we have today is that through
social networks, What Sapp or SMS, ministries of education can
communicate effectively with parents and teachers and provide
guidelines, instructions and structure to the learning process, using content
delivered by radio or TV. Remote learning is not only about online
learning, but about mixed media learning, with the objective of reaching
as many students as possible, today

2. Is there such a thing as best flexible learning option?

Flexible learning is a teaching approach that gives students freedom in terms of what,
when, how, and where they learn. Flexible learning environments take into account how
classroom time is used, how students are divided for learning, and how physical space
is used. Furthermore, I think differentiated instruction is related. It defined as a teaching
approach that tailors instruction to students' different learning needs. I may say that this
instruction is beneficial. However, our time is limited. So, the method will be use
depends.
