Visual Studio Code Installation
1- Go to https://code.visualstudio.com/download

2- Download for you operating , I am


using windows

3- Complete the installation process


1- Click Extensions Marketplace icon
2- Search for platform IO IDE
3- Click “install”
4- After installation you will find a new
Icon appears in the list
1- Click the new PlatformIO icon

2- You will see a similar screen with


the list to the left
Simulink Support Package for Arduino
Installation Guide
Step 1
1- Press on Add-Ons

2- Get Hardware support Package,


A new window will open with all
available hardware support
packages

3- Select Simulink support package


for Arduino Hardware
Step 2

Press install button and accept the


license agreement
Step 3

- This step for installing required


tools and libraries to make run
generated code on Arduino

- Wait for installation to complete


Step 4
- Tools and libraries are installed
then it is time for board
configuration, simple !!

- Select Automatically download


and install
- Press install button
- After successfully installed “next”
button will be active, press it for
next step
Step 5
- At this stage your Arduino board
must be connect through USB
- Select the COM port that your
board is connected to, it should
appear in the list
- If your board does not show up,
check your connection
- Press “next”
Step 6

- To make sure that everything is done


correctly, let’s verify the setup
- Select “Yes”
- Press “next”
- Press “Test connection”
- After connection is being tested
successfully, next button will be active
Step 7
- This what you will see after
connection test is completed
successfully
- If you want to go through some model
examples mark the checkbox
- Press “finish” to complete the process
DONE !!!
