Abstract

This report covers the installation of a new Wi-Fi network for ABC Solutions Pvt. Ltd., located
in Pune, Maharashtra. The goal of the project was to provide high-speed internet access to all
employees, improve connectivity, and enhance work productivity. The Wi-Fi network was
designed to cover the entire office, with dedicated access points for optimal signal strength. The
installation process was completed successfully, and the network is now fully operational,
providing a reliable connection to all employees.

Introduction

ABC Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has recently expanded its office space, leading to increased demand for
a reliable and fast internet connection. The office previously used a single Wi-Fi router, which
provided inadequate coverage and low internet speeds in some areas. The purpose of this report
is to describe the design and installation of a new Wi-Fi network that will serve all employees
and meet the growing internet requirements of the company.

Methodology

The project was carried out in the following steps:


1. Assessment of Requirements: The office layout and the number of employees were
analyzed to determine the number of access points needed. The total office area was
approximately 2,000 square feet, with 30 employees.
2. System Design: Based on the requirements, the network was designed using multiple
Wi-Fi access points to ensure full coverage. A wireless router with gigabit-speed
capabilities was selected to support high-speed internet.
3. Installation: The access points were installed at strategic locations across the office to
ensure that each area received a strong and stable Wi-Fi signal. Wiring was set up to
connect each access point to the central router.
4. Testing and Optimization: After installation, the network was tested for speed and
coverage. Any weak signal areas were identified and additional access points were
installed where needed.

System Design

The new Wi-Fi network consists of:

 Router: A high-performance Wi-Fi router (Brand: TP-Link, Model: Archer AX73)


capable of providing speeds up to 5400 Mbps.
 Access Points: 3 Wi-Fi access points (Brand: Ubiquiti, Model: UniFi 6 Lite) to cover the
entire office space.
 Cabling: Ethernet cables were used to connect the access points to the central router for
reliable wired connections.
 Security: The network is secured with WPA3 encryption and a strong password to
prevent unauthorized access.

System Coverage:

 Wi-Fi Speed: The network supports high-speed internet, capable of handling up to 50


devices simultaneously.
 Coverage Area: The access points provide seamless Wi-Fi coverage across the entire
office, including conference rooms and common areas.

Results

The installation of the new Wi-Fi network was completed successfully, and the following results
were observed:

1. Improved Internet Speed: The network provides speeds of up to 500 Mbps in all areas
of the office, which is a significant improvement over the previous setup.
2. Full Coverage: Every corner of the office, including the farthest rooms and basement
areas, now has a strong Wi-Fi signal.
3. Enhanced Productivity: Employees reported faster internet speeds, enabling quicker file
uploads and downloads, improving overall work productivity.
4. Stable Connection: The new network has eliminated previous issues such as dropped
connections and slow speeds, ensuring a stable and reliable internet connection for all
users.

Conclusion

The new Wi-Fi network installed at ABC Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has met all objectives, including
providing high-speed internet and full coverage across the office. The project has led to a more
efficient working environment, with faster internet speeds and better connectivity. Going
forward, the network can support more devices as the company continues to grow.

Future Recommendations:

 Periodic maintenance and software updates to keep the network secure and running
efficiently.
 Adding more access points if the office expands further to maintain strong signal
coverage.
