Browse Window
When the KMC Online Parts Manual opens you will be directed to the Browse window. The Browse window is
used to view equipment Parts Manuals.

Komatsu Logo
Left-click the Komatsu logo in the top left corner of the page to access the Komatsu Parts Manuals - About
window. This window shows:

• The version of the Komatsu Online Parts Manual viewer you are using.
• Copyright information.

There are multiple options for finding your KMC Online Parts Manual:

Quick Jump
Quick Jump is much like popular Web search engines. As you begin to type you will see a list. As you continue to
type, results will narrow. Examples of what to search for:

When using Quick Jump to find your manual, left-click the machine’s Parts Manual to open and view it.

Geographic Location
Browse folders by Geographic location (default for customers) or Product Line (default for KMC employees).

Left-click a folder to show or hide individual sub-folders until you find the Parts Manual you want to open. Left-
click the Parts Manual to view it.

For customers, only available parts manuals for KMC equipment at your mine(s) will be listed.

For KMC employees, an unassigned folder may appear. This indicates that the Parts Manual has not
been assigned to a specific Customer/Mine Site and therefore will not show in a country folder.

If you see no Parts Manuals in the Browse window, left-click Assistance in the menu bar and complete
the form that opens to contact KMC for assistance.

Product Line
Browse folders by Product Line (default for KMC employees) or Geographic location (default for customers).

Left-click a folder to show or hide individual sub-folders until you find the Parts Manual you want to open. Left-
click the Parts Manual to view it.

For KMC employees, an unassigned folder may appear. This indicates that the Parts Manual has not
been assigned to a specific Customer/Mine Site and therefore will not show in a country folder.

If you see no Parts Manuals in the Browse window, left-click Assistance in the menu bar and complete
the form that opens to contact KMC for assistance.

Book Code
Opening Parts Manuals by publisher book code (product line) and serial number can be done by using the Menu
Bar Open – By Codes…

Publisher Codes are:

• harnco - for surface equipment.

• JGI - for underground equipment.
• mti – for hard rock equipment.

The Book Code is typically the serial number of the equipment. To determine the Publisher and Book Codes for
any Parts Manual, while viewing a Parts Manual, use the Menu Bar and select Help – About This Book.

The Publisher and Book Code will appear in the Book area of the About This Book window that opens. The green
arrow indicates the Publisher Code, red arrow the Book Code.

Main Page Menu Items (No Parts Manual Open)

This topic explains the Main Page Menu Bar when you are in the Browse mode, when a Parts Manual is not
currently open. The Menu Bar changes slightly when a Parts Manual is open and will be discussed later in this
document.

Open

Use the Open menu to open Parts Manuals by browsing (using Quick Jump, Geographic
Location, or Product Line) or by using the code of a Parts Manual.

View

Use the View menu to view your current parts selection list or to view and edit your
profile.

Selection List

Selecting Selection List will open your browser to your currently saved Selection Lists.

My Profile

Selecting My Profile will open your browser to your current Profile settings. Here you will see all of your saved
Selection Lists, set your Login Book Options, and select your current Default Book Language.

Login Book Options

Login Book Options allow you to choose what page to land on after logging out or after a session timeout. Select
to either return to the Browse Books window or return to the last parts book page you were on. Selecting Option
to Return will open a pop-up menu that will allow you to select Browse Books window or return to the last parts
book page you were on when a logout or timeout event occurs.

Tools

Use the Tools menu to setup your

Book Notifications or to use the Supersession Lookup tool to determine if a specific part number has been
superseded by another part number.

Book Notification

Book notifications allow you to select a category or individual book for which you want to receive notification.
Notifications are emails letting you know when the book you are subscribed to has been updated or changed.

On the left side of the page:

• Use the radio buttons to filter the list by geographic location or product line.
• Left-click the or buttons to expand or collapse the categories.
• Use the selection boxes to include or not include categories or equipment in your Books Subscribed
To list.
o When you’ve made your selections left-click on the button in the bottom left corner to
save them to the Books Subscribed To list.
o When you’ve removed your selection left-click on the button in the bottom left corner to
remove them from the Books Subscribed To list.
o If you want to clear all selections from your Books Subscribed To list, left-click the
button then left-click the button.
• Categories or Parts Manuals you are subscribed to will show in the right hand portion of the screen.
There is no limit to the amount of Books you can subscribe to.

Supersession Lookup

Use the Supersession Lookup tool to determine if a part number you want to order has been superseded or
discontinued.

Enter your part number and left-click the icon to lookup the part number entered.

Download

Use the Download menu to download specific books to your

computer, view the current books you already have downloaded to your computer, or download the apps required
to view downloaded books on your local computer.

Download Books

This feature allows users to download a local copy of the KMC Parts Manual.

This feature is covered in the Installing a KMC Online Parts Manual Download and Install Manual.

LinkOne Parts Manuals incorporates a LinkOne security feature that limits access to these manuals. If
you are not a KMC employee, and you downloaded a book for a KMC P&H product, you will need a
Security Key to view your book. To request a security key for your book, send an email to KMC Product
Support at [email protected]. Type the word “keys” as the first word in the subject line. In the body
of the email please provide the following information:

• Name
• Company Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number

My Book Downloads

Selecting My Book Downloads will open your browser to a list of books you have downloaded or printed to PDF.
Use the menu to filter your download activity by date.

Download Apps

Downloading the LinkOne Viewer allows you to view any LinkOne books you have downloaded to your local
computer.

Downloading the SAP Visual Enterprise Viewer allows you to see and interact with some 3D content that may be
available in our Parts Manuals and some other products provided by KMC.

Assistance

Use the Assistance menu to contact the WebView

LinkOne Administrator for any questions you may have regarding the use of WebView.

Do not use the Assistance menu to contact the WebView LinkOne Administrator for requested Parts
Manual changes. This is a different form that will be covered later in this manual.

Help

Use the Help menu to open generic

help menus provided by the developer, open documentation created by Komatsu Mining Corp. to support
WebView, or to see the About WebView page that shows current version and copyright information.

Help

Opens the native LinkOne Help Menu. Features described here may or may not be available in your current KMC
Online Parts Manual.

Documentation

Opens the Komatsu Parts Manual – Documentation window where you can download current KMC Online Parts
Manual documentation created for our product.

Performs the same function as left-clicking on the Komatsu logo in the top left corner. Accesses the Komatsu
Parts Manual - About window. This window shows:

• The version of the Komatsu Online Parts Manual viewer you are using.
• Copyright information.

Customer Portal (Customer Only)

Customers see
a button on the main menu that allows them to navigate to the Customer Portal.

Logout

Use the Logout link to log out of

WebView.

Parts Manual Viewer

The Parts Manual Viewer is broken out into 4 sections:

• Left most frame – The Contents frame shows the Table of Contents for the Parts Manual. Left-click the
or buttons to expand or collapse the Table of Contents. Select page you want to view. The Page
Number and page reference are listed to the right of the page name.
• Center frame – The Picture frame, when a Parts Manual is first open, shows the Parts Manual cover. As
you navigate through the Parts Manual using the Table of Contents, this frame will show images of
assemblies, parts, schematics, etc., with or without callouts. There may be more than one picture for a
parts manual page. Left-click the callouts to highlight associated item number(s) in the Parts List frame
(parts/assembly/wire list).

The Center Frame may appear and/or disappear as graphics are available based on your selection in
the Table of Contents or Assembly/Parts List.

• Right most frame – The Parts List frame shows the assembly list, parts list or wiring list. Left-click the or
underlined Item number or underlined Description to go to the parts list page for that item. Left-click to
add the item or assembly to your current selection list. Hover your mouse over the icon to see the
supersession history or discontinued status for a part. If the part has been superseded you will also be
able to add the current part number to your current selection list.

When there is no icon in the icon column the item listed is for reference only and is not orderable.

• Lower most frame – The Selection List contains the part numbers you’ve added to your shopping cart.

This topic explains the Main Page Menu Bar when you have a Parts Manual open.

Open

Use the Open menu to open Parts Manuals by browsing (using Quick Jump, Geographic
Location, or Product Line) or by using the code of a Parts Manual.

View

Use the View menu to hide/show the Contents, Pictures, Parts List, and Selection
List frames. To reset (refresh) your current view use the Reset Layout function. Use the Current Position
command to open a window that indicates your current position within the Parts Manual you are viewing. Use the
Preference command to open a window to set preferences for the screen and print layout.

Current Position

The Current Position command opens the Komatsu Parts Manual – Current Position window. This window
provides information regarding the Publisher and book codes, current page information, book URL, and file name.
Other optional information is provided as required.

Preferences

Screen and print layout are shown and can be changed using the Preferences window.

Search

Use the Search menu to open the Book Search to search the Parts Manual
you are viewing or multiple Parts Manuals you have access to. Search by Part Number, Part Description, Page
Titles, Page References, Page Number, Part Number and Description, Documents, Item, Functional Location, or
Wire Number.

Using Blank Part Number Search

Using a blank Part Number search will return a list of all components on the equipment. Open the Search For
menu and leave the Part Number field blank.

Left-click on the button to perform the search. The results may take 30 seconds to several minutes to
complete. Once completed, the returned list will be a full list of all component part numbers for the equipment Part
Manual you had open.

The menu at the bottom of the Search For window will change to allow you to export the list of part numbers to
either a .CSV or .XLS file.

Left-click on to export the parts list as a .CSV file.

Left-click on to export the parts list as a .XLS file.

Notes

Use the Notes menu to create a bookmark in the Parts

Manual you are viewing, create a note to yourself within the Parts Manual you are viewing, or to create a category
for the notes you create.

Print

Use the Print menu to open the Print window to give you
options for printing the Parts Manual you are viewing to PDF.

Printing individual pages to PDF will open in a new browser tab allowing you to print just those pages.
However, if printing an entire Parts Manual, a link will be emailed to your account email address where
you can download and print the PDF.

Feedback

Use the Feedback menu to

open the Feedback form allowing you to notify us of any changes required to the Parts Manual you are viewing.

Parts Book Corrections Request

This link opens the Komatsu Parts Manual – Feedback Form. Use this form to provide feedback regarding Parts
Manual changes.

Default information will be applied to the Feedback Form when it is initially open: User Name, Product and Serial
Number.

New Feedback Item

Selecting pulls in specific page items, from the page you are currently viewing, and opens a
form to allow you to select the item and suggest a required correction.

Select the item you want to correct, to , then type in your corrections comment,
.

Left-click to save your changes or to cancel them. If you save the changes the Feedback Form
will add the information.

Select New Page

Selecting allows you to change the page and make a comment on a different page of the Parts
Manual. Upon selection you will be presented the following instructions:

Left-click on then navigate to the next page you would like to request a correction on. Once you are
on the correct page, reopen the Parts Book Corrections Form.

Select and make your comment. Left-click on either to save the comment or
to cancel the comment. If you make a new comment the Form will update accordingly.

Attachments

Selecting allows you to attach files from your computer to the Parts Book Corrections Form.

Attachments have a 4MB max file size limitation per file. Multiple files can be attached to a Parts Book
Corrections Form however, total size of all files attached cannot exceed 10MB in total.

Left-click on to navigate to the file on your computer and select it.

Once the file is selected left-click on to upload it to the Parts Book Corrections Form.

Select to attach the selected and uploaded file or to cancel the process.

Comments

Prior to sending your Parts Book Corrections Form, add any comments you may have regarding your request in
the Comments section of the Form.

Use the button to submit your Parts Book Corrections Form to Product Support.

Use the button to cancel and close the Parts Book Corrections Form.

Use the button to save the Parts Book Corrections Form to your computer. Any previous Parts Book
Corrections Form you have saved will be overwritten by this new Parts Book Corrections Form.

Use the button to open a previously saved Parts Book Corrections Form. By opening the last saved Parts
Book Corrections Form, you will lose any current work on the current Parts Book Corrections Form.

Use the button to reset the current Parts Book Corrections Form and overwrite any existing Parts Book
Corrections Form.

Download

Use the Download menu to download the Parts Manual you are viewing to your computer, download specific
books to your computer, view the current books you already have downloaded to your computer and printed to

Download Current Book

Use the Download Current Book link to download the current Parts Book you have open.

Left-click on to start the Parts Book download. Left-click on to cancel the process.

First In History – takes you to first page looked at this session.

Backward In History – takes you backward through pages in order viewed this session.
Forward In History – take you forward through pages in order viewed this session.
Parent Page In Book – takes you to the page where current page is referenced.

This could be the top level Table of Contents page.

Previous Page In Book – takes you to the previous page in numerical order.
Next Page In Book – take you to the next page in numerical order.

This frame shows the Table of Contents for the Parts Manual.

Left-click the or buttons to expand or collapse the Table of Contents. Select the page you want to view.

Pictures Frame

The Pictures frame shows images of assemblies, parts and schematics with or without callouts. There may be
more than one picture for a parts manual page.

Left-click the callouts to highlight associated item number(s) in the Parts List frame (parts/assembly/wire list).

Picture Frame Tool Bar

Use the Picture Tool Bar to:

Zoom in and Zoom out .

Fit the picture shown to the current window size.

Select a specific picture when multiple pictures are present.

Previous picture and Next picture.

Toggle the mini map on or off. When you are zoomed in to a picture the mini map shows in the top right
corner of the picture to provide an indication of where you are zoomed in to a picture.

Parts List
The Parts List frame shows the assembly list, parts list or wiring list.

Left-click the , or underlined Item number, or underlined Part Number, or underlined Description, to go to the
parts list page for that item.

Left-click to add the item or assembly to your current selection list.

Hover your mouse over the icon to see the supersession history or discontinued status for a part. If the part has
been superseded you will also be able to add the current part number to your current selection list.

When there is no icon in the icon column the item listed is for reference only and is not orderable.

Selection List
The Selection List contains the part numbers you’ve added to your shopping cart.

Left-click the icon to edit the quantity of the selection ordered and to make any comments regarding the item
you are ordering. The icon will change to a while you are making your changes.

Left-click the icon to save your comments or the changes you made to the order quantity.

Left-click the to cancel any changes you made.

Left-click to delete an item from the selection list.

Left-click to save changes.

Left-click to cancel changes.

Selection List Menu Bar

The Checkout button submits your order

to KMC.

The Selection List will clear all items after checkout is complete.

When using Checkout, if you see the message below, eCommerce capabilities are not enabled. Contact
your local KMC Representative for more information.

Selection List KMC Online Parts Manual Basic Navigation

The Clear button is used to clear all

items in your Selection List.

The New button is used to create a new

empty Selection List.

Give your new Selection List a unique name and left-click to create it.

Left-click the in the upper right corner to close the window without creating a new Selection List.

The Open button is used to open an

existing Selection List that has been previously saved.

The Save As button is used to save the

current Selection List to the Saved Selection List folder under My Profiles. You will be able to give the Selection
List a unique name to recall at a later date.

The Print button is used to print the

current Selection List.

The Export button is used to export the

Selection List to a Microsoft Excel Comma Separated Values File (.CSV).

Your browser may ask you if you want to open or save the Selection List when exporting it as a .CSV file.
It is recommended that you select Save as in the Save drop down menu so it will be easier to find the file
when required.
