Assignment 1,2

The document outlines an assignment with various questions related to Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCR), including their characteristics, turn-on methods, protection schemes, and commutation types. It also covers the operation of controlled rectifiers, both half-wave and full-wave, in different load conditions, along with calculations for power factor, THD, and firing angles. Additionally, it discusses the categorization of power electronics switches based on controllability and bidirectional capability.
