Degree Eligibility norms AICTE as per present policy is not providing equivalence to the
Equivalence related with qualifications obtained from AICTE approved institutions,
AICTE affiliated departments at any level for higher education purpose as well as
colleges for the for employment purposes. It is up to the employer to decide the
appointment of suitability for a particular post in case of employment purpose and
teaching it is up to the Institution for higher studies in case of academic
purpose.

However, AICTE has issued a notification dated 28.04.2017

regarding Major/Core Branch of Engineering/Technology and their
relevant/appropriate courses leading to a degree in
Engineering/Technology for recruitment to teaching positions. An
addendum notification dated has been issued also for further
clarification.

Equivalence B. Tech. degree is the next level of Diploma in a particular

between B. Tech discipline and B. Tech. Degree as such is treated as higher degree
and Diploma than Diploma.

BCA Equivalence BCA does not come under the purview of AICTE and MCA is PG
degree. AICTE as such do not give equivalency.
