Which Controller Does My Icon EV Have?

Due to supply issues in 2022 ICON switched from the Toyota NEOS controller they were using in
previous years to a brand-new ICON branded controller made by LVTONG. They use different
programming software and different methods of communication to personal computers
including different cables. We will try give you multiple things to check so you can verify you are
using the correct software & cable for your vehicle.
1. Check the black data plate on the floorboard behind your brake pedal.

On the 2022 vehicles that have the ICON


Notice there are only 3 lines of information in controller there is a line in the right column
the right column and no mentioning of “ICON indicating the amperage rating. This line says
CONTROLLER”. “ICON CONTROLLER” and will say 350A or 450A
depending on which model you have.

2. Check the programming port next to the main switch under the seat.

The programming port for vehicles with the Toyota On the 2022 vehicles the programming port
neos controller will only have pins in 3 of the 4 will have pins in all 4 positions of the plug,

3. Physically look at the controller. The controller is located under the seat on the passenger
side. There is a cover that is secured with 6 screws, this cover needs to be removed to gain
access to the controller.

The Toyota Neos controller will have a red The ICON Controller will have either a ICON sticker
