11. Find the hot resistance of a light bulb rated 60W, 120V. [240Ω]
12. A 100V, 60W bulb is connected in series with a 100V, 100W bulb and the combination is connected
across 200V mains. Find the value of the resistance that should be connected across the first bulb, so
that each bulb may get proper current the proper voltage. [250Ω]
13. A coil of 5Ω resistance is connected in parallel with a coil of R 1Ω resistance. This combination is then
connected in series with an unknown resistor of R2Ω and the complete circuit is connected to 50V dc
supply. Calculate the values of R1 and R2 resistance if power dissipated by unknown resistor R2 is 150W
with 5A passing through it. [20Ω & 6Ω]
