The document outlines two design tasks for a UI-UX Designer: redesigning the login and onboarding flow for either an educational course or food delivery app, or creating a simplified travel planning tool. Each task requires wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and an interactive prototype developed in Figma, with a focus on originality and user experience. Submissions are due by March 25th and must include a brief explanation of design choices and adherence to guidelines for originality and process documentation.

Skill Assessment Task

UI-UX Designer
** You have to do only ONE task from below **

For UI-UX Designer

Task 1: Mobile App Login & Onboarding Flow (Educational Course or Food Delivery App)

Objective:

o Redesign the login and onboarding flow of a mobile application tailored for either an educational

course selling platform (similar to Udemy) or a food delivery service (similar to Food panda). The focus is

on creating a seamless user experience with clear call-to-action elements and modern design aesthet-

ics.

Requirements:

Design:

o Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for the login screen, registration screen, and a brief

onboarding sequence (3–4 screens) that are specific to your chosen app type.

o For an educational course app, consider incorporating elements that highlight course previews, user

testimonials, and category selection. For a food delivery app, include features such as location input,

restaurant listings, and food category filters.

o Ensure your design is responsive and adheres to best practices for mobile UX.

Prototype:

o Develop an interactive live prototype in Figma that simulates the flow from login to onboarding.

o Include interactive transitions, animations, and clickable elements to demonstrate the user journey.

Originality & Tools:

o Use Figma (or other approved UI/UX tools) exclusively for this task.

o Do not copy existing designs or use others’ code; all assets must be created from scratch.

Deliverables:

o A Figma file with your designs and interactive prototype.

o A brief document (1-2 pages) explaining your design rationale, how you tailored the flow for your chosen

app type, and any challenges encountered.

Precautions:

Original Work Only:

o Ensure that all components, illustrations, and any code snippets are created by you.

o Cite any external assets or plugins if used, though preference is for custom creation.

No Cheating:

o Avoid using pre-made templates or designs without proper modification and acknowledgment.

o Maintain version control and document your process for transparency.

compelling summary or call-to-action.

Task 2: Simplified Travel Planning Design

Objective:

Design a streamlined travel planning tool aimed at helping users quickly organize their trips. The design

should be focused on simplicity and usability, featuring essential planning elements in a clean interface.

Requirements:

Design:

o Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for the following key screens:

Dashboard: A simple overview screen where users can see their travel plan at a glance.

o Itinerary Page: A basic itinerary planning page where users can add destinations and dates.

Attraction Detail Page: A page that provides more information about a selected destination or activity.

o Use a minimalistic approach that prioritizes ease of navigation and clarity.

Prototype:

o Build an interactive, clickable prototype in Figma that simulates the primary travel planning flow.

o Include basic interactive elements like clickable buttons, simple transitions, and a clear navigation path

between screens.

Originality & Tools:

o Work entirely within Figma or approved UI/UX tools.

o Do not incorporate code or design elements from external sources unless they are thoroughly reworked

and properly credited.

Deliverables:

o A Figma file containing your designs and interactive travel planning prototype.

o A short explanation (up to 1 page) detailing your design decisions and user flow.

Precautions:

Ensure Authenticity:

o All design elements must be original. Avoid using third-party UI kits or snippets unless they are signifi-

cantly customized and credited.

Integrity in Process:

o Document your process and iterations. Any deviation from original work should be clearly noted with

appropriate justification.

o Cheating or copying designs will disqualify your submission. We value creativity and original thought.
