A lovely afternoon to our guests. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the wedding
reception here at Mayor Doc Jeremy Rosario place, Baloking Manaoag, Pangasinan of Mr.
and Mrs. ERIC and MARY JANE MENESES, I am Mark, and I am tasked to be the emcee for
today’s celebration. So please find a seat and make yourselves comfortable as we are
about to start the program.

Opening Spiel:
"No relationship is all sunshine but two people can share one umbrella and survive the
storm together."

Indeed, today we have witnessed two people who never gave up on each other and
remained strong amid the storm. Now, they have chosen to seal their love with the civil
wedding ceremony.

WELCOME ADDRESS
A VERY GOOD DAY TO EVRYONE AND WELCOME TO Mary Jane and Eric Joel Wedding
Reception. We are done with the solemn part of the celebration and we thank those
people who were with us earlier at Minor Basilica of Our Lady or the Rosary of Manaoag
for the wedding ceremony. And for those who just join in, welcome to the reception for
our newlyweds in celebration of the beginning of their new life together as a couple. So
sit down, relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

We thank you all for gracing this joyful occasion especially to those who have
traveled many miles and to those who took a leave of absence for their work just to be
with us. In behalf of Eric Joel and Mary Jane and their parents, I would like to express
their heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this memorable occasion. It is indeed a
pleasure to have you all today.

At this point, let us now witness the parade of the wedding entourage. Excited na

blush, look at them they are just absolutely stunning!"

the couple, Mr. & Mrs. Eric Joel and Mary Jane Meneses! (wide applause)

love… a feast of two hearts who vowed to stay forever no matter what…

public and legal affirmation of the bonding that you had already begun. Marriage is a
commitment to live that will allow you to share your lives together.
Marriage will stretch you as individual, deepen your love for one another and bring out
the best in each other. So, enjoy your marriage and let it be a time of waking each
morning and falling in love with each other all over again.

FATHER AND DAUGHTER / MOTHER-SON DANCE

And now we would like to clear the dance floor for everyone except our bride to have this
special time with the first man in her life. May we request for mr. Jose n. Naniong the
father of the bride, to approach his daughter for the father and daughter dance.” As well
as our groom to approach her mother for the mother and son dance.

FIRST DANCE OF THE COUPLE

Tonight is indeed a special night, and will be forever etched in the memory of our
beloved couple. On this joyful beginning what could be more fitting than to celebrate it
with their first dance.
The first dance is symbolic of the consummation of their wedding vows. This dance is the
wedding couples’ first cooperative engagement and joint endeavor. Ladies and
gentlemen, it is once again my privilege to present to you mr and mrs. _______ with their
first dance.

It’s now time for our money dance where you will get your chance to financially bless our
couple.
Our coordinators will be standing here to put the sash on the couple
You may approach them and they will hand you envelopes and safety pins where you
can put 500 bills and 1000 bills and more. And you can attach the envelops to the sash
they are watching.

Life may get a little offbeat for the couple, they may miss a step or two but their hearts
will always beat harmoniously for each other. Let's give another round of applause for
the couple!

TRADITIONS
A wedding is not complete without traditions.
Cake Slicing & Wine Toast
In every wedding reception, there is always the slicing of the wedding cake which
actually symbolizes the couple’s shared future and their life as one and maybe sprinkled
with love and sweetness just like the cake. And now comes the slicing of that beautiful
cake (find out who made it and announce that).
So I’d like Eric Joel and Mary Jane to walk around to the front of the bridal table to
perform their first duty as husband and wife. (check with the photographer before
announcing this)
Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the cake slicing tradition.
The Husband and wife will put their hands together to slice the cake. The two hands
moving as one with one purpose, symbolizes that the two will work in unity to reach
common goals for their shared future and their life together as one.
The sharing of this food symbolizes the couple’s willingness to fulfill each other’s needs,
creating a bond so simple and yet so strong.
Ladies and gentlemen… now would be a great opportunity for photos – a once and only
to capture the special moment of Eric Joel and Mary Jane slicing their wedding cake.
I think it is appropriate that Eric Joel and Mary Jane kiss each other.
Oh, that wasn’t a kiss, that was a peck --- I said A KISS.

WINE TOASTING
To symbolize and celebrate the blending of your two lives into one, I invite you to
perform the wine ceremony. The arms of the couple will intertwine as they drink wine.
This ceremony represents your two individual lives, Now intertwined; combined like the
two glasses wine into one single life. The drinking of the combined wine. Signifies the
commitment. You now make to live your lives as one family. May you remember this day
of commitment you have sealed with drinking of the new wine joining your lives as one.
may we request everyone to fill your glasses with any drink that we could get and join
Eric Joel and Mary Jane for the symbolic wine toast.We shall now invite the couple up to
pop the wine.
As Wine is a symbol of celebrations and happiness. May I invite the parents, relatives
and close friends to the couple up to join Eric Joel and Mary Jane in the traditional Wine
toasting. For the rest of the guest, let’s also rise and raise our glasses to give toasts to
celebrate this joyous occasion!

DOVE KISSING
The next part of the program, the bride and groom will now do the dove
kissing/releasing.
The two doves signify Eric Joel and Mary Jane being kissed/released to strat a new
journey together. Like the two pairs of dove, whatever happens they will always try to
seek the comfort of each other and their home together. This is where they know that
they will fin love. A dove always chooses one mate for life, and signifies love,
faithfulness, joy and hope.
Eric Joel and Mary Jane are now ready so we wil now release the doves. At the count of
three, release the doves. Ready when you are…one…two…three and off…they go!! That
was really beautiful.

RETREIVAL OF GATER AND GARTER TOSS

Before we o with the garter toss, the groom will retrieve the garter/elastic from hi s
bride. So may we request Eric Joel and Mary Jane to please come on the center stage and
do the garter retrieval ritual. (A chair is brought onstage for the bride to sit, while groom
kneels down at the bride’s feet ready to retrieve the garter)
Ladies and gentlemen the groom will now retrieve the garter from the bride.
There you have it ladies and gentlemen; the groom was finally able to retrieve the
garter. Let us give him a big hand.
Okay it is now the gentlemen turn and we will now do the garter toss. (Couples na ang

MATCHMAKING RITUALS
Now that we have already found a perfect match. The next bride and groom to be in the
future. It is time for another ritual. The gentlemen who got the garter is to put it on the
lady who got the boquet.
There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Our new lovely pair and if it would not be too
much to ask we would like the gentlemen to give the lady a quick kiss.
At his point, we request that both of you remain onstage for the picture taking. The
newlyweds will now pose with our lovely new pair.

Thanksgiving Prayer
It is said that a successful marriage involves three hearts becoming one. The hearts of
the husband, the wife and the God at the center. So let us give thanks to the one who
made this all possible. The author of life, Love and Relationships. Our one true God.
Let us all stand as we offer thanksgiving to our Lord. and also to say grace before meals
which we are about to partake.

Wedding Banquet Prayer

Lord God, Creator of the universe, Father of all, we have gathered here around this
banquet to celebrate the love and commitment that have united the bride and the
groom in a wonderful bond of marriage.

Bless, Father, this food that we are about to receive with grateful hearts as a sign of your
continuous bounty and providence. May your generous blessing descend also upon these
newly married spouses Alvin and Sarah Jane, their families and friends present here at
this joyful banquet.

We ask that you would bless them, protect them, and fill their lives with your wisdom.
We pray that our bride and groom Sarah and Alvin would continually desire to be a
heavenly mate. May they be determined to make YOU the center of their home. We
make this prayer in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, on God for ever and ever. Amen.

Meals Instructions
The food is now ready. At this point to maintain order, the coordinators will approach
your table and the guests from that table will be requested to proceed to the location of
the couple for pictorial. Right after that, they can line up at the buffet counter to get
their meals. Please wait for the coordinators to approach your table.

To facilitate and observe order during the buffet, let us have Table 1 at the left side of
the buffet to be followed by Table 2 and so on...The food is now served ladies and
gentleman. Enjoy the sumptuous meal everyone!

It is said that our parents are our first teachers having raised us patiently from childhood
to adulthood. They have been our source of comfort, support and inspiration. Without
