Section B: Short Answer Questions

11. Find the LCM of 15, 20, and 25.

13. Find the simple interest on ₹5000 at 5% p.a. for 2 years.
14. Solve the pair of simultaneous equations:

15. A car travels 60 km in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Find its speed in km/h.

17. Find the perimeter of a rectangle with length 12 cm and breadth 8 cm.
18. Convert the ratio 3:5 into percentage.

26. A rectangular garden is 40 m long and 30 m wide. A path 2 m wide is built inside it along the boundary. Find the area of the path.
27. A train travels 180 km in 3 hours. Another train covers the same distance in 2 hours. Find their speeds and which train is faster, and by how much.
28. A student scored the following marks: 78, 85, 90, 88, 79
(a) Find the average marks
(b) Find the percentage
(c) Grade as per the following:
- A: 90% and above
- B: 80% – 89%
- C: 70% – 79%
- D: Below 70%

Section E: Simultaneous Equations Practice

29. Solve: x + y = 14, x – y = 2


30. Solve using elimination: 3x + 2y = 16, 4x – 2y = 8
31. A number consists of two digits. The sum of the digits is 9. If the digits are reversed, the new number is 27 more than the original. Find the number.
32. The sum of the prices of 2 pens and 3 pencils is ₹18. The sum of 3 pens and 2 pencils is ₹21. Find the cost of one pen and one pencil.
33. Solve graphically: x + 2y = 6, 2x – y = 4 (Draw graph and mark the intersection clearly)
