Install the Converter away from any heat. Proper ventilation around the unit is very important: allow at
least 20 cm/ 8 inch between the front and the rear part of the unit to ensure suf cient air ow to the
cooling fan. During normal operation the equipment may reach high temperatures, install the Converter
in an area where people will not get in contact with it. An appropriate periodic cleaning and
maintenance program is recommended to keep the equipment in perfect condition. If the equipment is
installed in a particularly dusty environment, increase the cleaning and maintenance program, making
sure that the ventilation system is working properly.
2. Front panel
Keyswitch, LCD display, led status signals and control pushbuttons are located on the front panel
2.1. KEYSWITCH
The keyswitch allows to start the converter. It will take 70 seconds. If the key is set in the [ON] position,
at the end of the initialization, the SPC will supply power. If the key is turned in [OFF] position, at the end
of the initialization the converter is ready to start immediately, as soon as the key is turned in [ON]
position.
[Fault] Red Led Light: the LED light appears if there is a malfunction on the converter.
We recommend you to call for assistance.
The menu navigation commands is used to control the equipment, display messages/electrical power
feedbacks, on the LCD panel. Please refer to sections 3 and 4 of this manual for detailed information.
3. STARTUP
3.1. Startup
When the converter is powered up it takes 70 seconds to be ready to operate. A welcome message will

the key and the inverter. At the end of the process a green light appears and the panel shows: “key OFF
and inverter OFF.”
3.2. IGNITION
Turning the key from OFF position to ON position the converter turns on and the panel shows: “Key
on, inverter on.”
AUTO-RESTART
If a voltage drops or a blackout occurs the converter will shut off and it will restart automatically when
the power restores. The process will take 70 seconds and the previously settings will be maintained.
When the installation of the converter is done, remove the key leaving it on the ON position. This will
allow your converter to always be in AUTO-RESTART mode.
4. PANEL MENU
Pressing the SET push button you will see three types of menu. The rst shows the electrical measurements,
the second displays the alarms and the third one allows to increase or decrease the output voltage +/- 10
volts. We strongly suggest not to manipulate this setting in order to not compromise the converter
functionality.
To change menu, press SET. To scroll through the pages in the menu press the Up and Down push
buttons.

5. CONNECTIONS
The power system is composed of one cabinet. The converter is provided with the ANG AUTO-RANGING
Input Voltage System. It will automatically accept single phase voltage ranging from 190 to 260 volts. The
connection to the terminal block to the power supply, is located on the side of the cabinet. The converter
automatically con gure itself based to the input line voltage.
Positioned on the side of the cabinets, where the DANGER sticker is attached, there is a removable panel,
that give you access at all the terminal block connections.

6. INTERFACE
The converter can be optionally provided of a RS232 interface port that used to remote diagnostics via
optional radio transmitter.
7. PROTECTIONS
The product is electronically protected against overload, short-circuit and over temperature as to avoid
irreversible faults to the product. Should the internal temperature be higher than 55°C (131°F) or should
the current be higher than 105% of the maximum rated current for more than 6 (six) seconds, the
converter will stop itself.
Subsequently, the inverter will automatically restart. If this procedure is repeated 3 times in a time less
than 2 minutes the converter permanently locks.
To restart it it will be necessary to use the key.
In order to reset the converter switch it off and on again. After an overtemperature protection, the
converter can be reset only when the internal temperature achieves 45°C (113°F).
An overload can only be solved by lowering it. In case of overload we recommend to check the boat’s
power demand.
Front panel leds and LCD display will alert the operator in case of faults.
Most issueswill switch “Fault” led on and the LCD display will show a description of the problem.
The entire production cycle of our equipment is subject to surveillance regarding quality assurance. The
quality assurance system complies with ISO9001-2008 standard.
