Performance Task: Create a Poster, Flyer, or Brochure on a Product

Task Overview:

For this task, you will create a poster, flyer, or brochure on a product of your choice.
The product should be from one of the following categories: fuels, household products,
or personal care products. Your creation will describe the product’s uses, properties,
and mode of action.

Instructions:

1. Choose Your Product:


o Select a product from the following categories:
§ Fuels (e.g., gasoline, diesel, natural gas, biofuels)
§ Household Products (e.g., cleaning agents, air fresheners,
detergents, disinfectants)
§ Personal Care Products (e.g., shampoo, lotion, soap, toothpaste)
2. Research the Product:
o Conduct research to gather information about the chosen product,
focusing on the following aspects:
§ Uses: How and where is this product used?
§ Properties: What are the physical or chemical properties of the
product? (e.g., flammability, scent, texture, durability)
§ Mode of Action: How does the product work or achieve its
intended effect? (e.g., cleaning, moisturizing, fueling)
3. Design and Create Your Visual:
o Decide whether you will create a poster, flyer, or brochure.
§ Poster: Should focus on visually engaging design with key points
highlighted.
§ Flyer: Should be informative, concise, and easily understandable
at a glance.
§ Brochure: Should include more detailed information, organized in
sections.
4. Content to Include:
