SAP Business Data Cloud is a fully managed SaaS solution that unifies and governs all SAP data and seamlessly
connects with third-party data—giving line-of-business leaders context to make even more impactful decisions.
It combines all the powerful functionality of SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Business

SAP Business Data Cloud Insight Apps are prebuilt analytical applications that help you uncover hidden
insights and fast-track decision-making. These are fully managed, built on curated data products, and
incorporate pre-defined metrics, AI models, and planning capabilities, simplifying how you connect and
integrate every part of your business.

This accelerates use cases aligned with your most important business functions including ERP, Spend, Supply
Chain, HR, Customer Experience, and Finance.

What is SAP Databricks in SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Databricks is a component of SAP Business Data Cloud, unifying semantically rich, business-ready data
with industry-leading AI/ML, data science, and data engineering capabilities. Leveraging zero-copy Delta
Sharing, companies can seamlessly integrate semi-structured and unstructured data from any source with data
products from SAP applications into a single, harmonized data model—eliminating complex data movement
while unlocking unparalleled business insights and AI potential. Together, SAP Databricks with SAP Business
Data Cloud provide a trusted, governed and secure data foundation—simplifying the landscape, reducing total
cost of ownership, and enabling intelligent applications with seamless access to high-quality, reliable data.

SAP Databricks will enable customers to:

• Unify data with zero copies: Leverage delta sharing to connect and blend data without the need for or
complex ETL or data copies.

engineering and AI/ML. Build derived data products with enriched and blended data then publish to
BDC catalog and Unity Catalog for sharing.

What does SAP Business Data Cloud mean for existing on-premises SAP Business Warehouse
customers?
SAP Business Data Cloud is the target solution for on-premises SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) and SAP
BW/4HANA customers. Customers can safeguard their investments and continue using their data in the cloud
by moving to the private cloud edition of SAP BW in SAP Business Data Cloud. In addition to the well-known
capabilities of on-premises SAP BW, customers will be able to consume existing SAP BW data as data products
and take advantage of the latest capabilities—such as bi-directional data sharing, and support for data
engineering, data science, and AI/ML workloads in SAP Databricks.
