Double Integration Assignment-1
The document contains an assignment focused on double integration, including the evaluation of specific integrals, changing the order of integrations, and finding areas bounded by curves. It presents multiple problems requiring the application of double integral techniques and concepts. Each section outlines distinct mathematical scenarios for evaluation and analysis.
2) Evaluate ∬𝑹 𝒇(𝒙, 𝒚)𝒅𝑨 where R and f(x,y) are given below
i) 𝑓(𝑥, 𝑦) = (𝑎 − 𝑥)2 and R is the right half of the circle 𝑥 2 + 𝑦 2 = 𝑎2 . ii) 𝑓(𝑥, 𝑦) = (𝑥 2 − 𝑦 2 ) and R is the triangle with the vertices (0,1), (1,1), (1,2). iii) 𝑓(𝑥, 𝑦) = (𝑥 2 + 𝑦 2 ) and R is bounded by y = 4x, x+y=2, y =0, y =2. iv) 𝑓(𝑥, 𝑦) = 𝑥𝑦 and R is bounded by x= a, 𝑥 2 = 4𝑎𝑦, y =0.
3) Change the order of integrations for the following double integrals
