Ch4. Trouble shooting

My device can’t work correctly.

ANS:
1. Please unplug device from PC and re-insert to another USB port / PCI / PCIe slot
again.
2. Please check device management and see if there is any exclamation mark or not.
3. Please re-install latest driver again.

Windows can’t recognize satellite card hardware correctly.

ANS: You may switch to a different PCI / PCIe slot and try again. Or you may try to clean
golden finger and try again.

Video can be played but Audio failed.

ANS: Please check the sound card setting or the volume setting.

Why my EPG, Teletext and subtitle cannot be shown?

ANS: At some areas, the broadcasters do not provide these services. Please contact your
broadcaster for further information.

Why I can not lock any channel?

ANS:
Please check whether the dish points at the satellite you wish to watch.
Please check the cable between device and the dish are well connected.
Please note that the cable should be connected to "LNB In" F-connector of the card.
Check the settings of satellite; for example, LNB frequency is for C band or Ku band.
Please re-insert the device to another PCI / PCIe slot or USB port again.

Why my S480/S482 can not lock some channels?

ANS: S480/S482 is a dual tuner model and requires more power to drive both tuner devices.
Some old versions mainboard might not supply enough power so tuner cannot lock
all channels completely. We suggest you to take power from a 4-pin connector inside
your desktop PC (same as the one used for Floppy HDD) and connect it to the 4-pin
jack on the upright corner of S480/S482 (shown as the photo below).
40
Caution!!
Connect 4-pin power jack carefully. It must be connected at right direction, please
follow the instruction diagram below. It will damage S480/S482 if connected incorrectly.
