- Question 3: Trang’s hobby is buiding dollhouses and ann’s hobby is
horse riding)
- Have Ss say the words in the text that they are related to the topic My
hobbies.
- Quickly write the words on one part of the board.
- Comment on Ss’ answer.

ACTIVITY 2: Read the conversation again and write T (True) or F (False)


(7 minutes)
T asks Ss to ask the sentences and decide if they are true of false without read-
ing conversation again. Allow them to share their answers with a partner be-
fore discussing as a class.
- Ss may read the conversation again to confirm their answers before giving T
the answers.

- Have Ss listen to the recording, check their answers and repeat the words /
phrases.
- Ask Ss to look at the answers on the board and say if they are right or wrong.
- Confirm the correct answers.
- Have some Ss practise saying the words and phrases again.

Work in groups. Ask your classmates which hobbies they like. Use the
question : Do you like ..? (7 minutes)
- Set time (3 - 5 minutes) for Ss to do this activity.
- Then ask the classmates around to complete the table, using the questions
'Do you like...?'
The student who completes the table first wins.

ACTIVITY 6: Wrap-up & Homework (3 minutes)


- Ask students to answer the following question:
1. What did you learn in the lesson today?
(- recognize the topic of the unit, the topic of the lesson and the situation for a
conversation about Hobbies;
- identify the specific information through reading and listening to the conver-
sation;)
2.What are the core values of the lesson? / What do/ can you learn from the
lesson?
- Name some activities that refer to Hobbies;
3. Homework:
- Remind students to do exercises in the workbook (Unit 1 – Getting started)
and to prepare for the next lesson (Unit 1 – A closer look 1).
