Intramurals 2025 Guidelines
2 General Guidelines
2.1 Open to all bona fide students who are currently enroll this term (2nd Term, 2024 – 2025) at NU
Dasmariñas
2.2 The following are the requirements of each team:
2.2.1 Gallery verified by Campus Registrar
2.2.2 Medical Checklist verified by HSO

2.3 All ParEcipants, including players, coaches, and spectators,
must maintain professionalism and respect towards others.
2.4 Each team is required to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before their game
schedule.
2.5 The default Eme will be 10 minutes. Default Eme is also used for warm-ups. Once the
team/players start warming up, the default Eme will start as well.
2.6 The deadline for requirements will be on ________. Late submission will result in a deducEon of
points in overall awards.
2.7 Failure to comply with the requirements will not be able to play.
2.8 IdenEfied student-athletes represenEng NU Dasmariñas can play other events that are not
his/her sport as varsity, with the discreEon of the head coach.
2.9 We will follow a One Student, One Event Rule. Students are not permiced to parEcipate in 2
different sporEng events. Street dance is an exempEon as it is not a sporEng event but part of
the opening salvo.
3 Gallery and Requirements
3.1 Team Gallery
3.1.1 School Representa>ves and/or Team Representa>ves will be the ones to take
care of the bringing of requirements to the concerned offices (Campus Registrar
and HSO).
3.1.2 Only an employee of NU – Dasmariñas will be allowed to coach a team (Or to be
listed as a coach). If the team opts to tap a student to coach, the student may be
included as Student Manager only. No outsiders should be involved as
coach/manager for a team.
3.1.3 All teams must submit their team gallery to the Campus Registrar first for
verificaEon.
3.1.4 Ager the verificaEon of the Campus Registrar (with signature), the
representaEve will then bring the gallery together with the medical checklist to
the HSO for verificaEon that the players are fit to play.
3.2 Medical Checklist
3.2.1 The indicated events below are required to submit their checklist approved by
HSO:
• Basketball
• Volleyball
• Badminton
• Table Tennis
• Dance
3.2.2 If your event is not required to submit its medical checklist to the HSO, your
gallery may be submiced to the School RepresentaEves.
3.2.3 Gehng a Medical CerEficate will NOT be required anymore unless necessary. In
exchange, the team coach or representaEve should give their team Medical
Checklist to HSO; then their office will verify if the listed players are fit to play.
3.2.4 In case of the player not being fit to play, he/she will be prohibited from playing
to avoid further complicaEons.
3.3 Process of submission
3.3.1 Step 1: Fill in your gallery with the needed requirements. Also, include the
names of your team’s players in the medical checklist.

3.3.2 Step 2: Submit your gallery to the Campus
Registrar for verificaEon and signature. This will
prove that the players from the gallery are enrolled this 2nd Term
A.Y. 2024 – 2025.
3.3.3 Step 3: Bring your approved gallery to the HSO together with your MEDICAL
CHECKLIST for verificaEon of our Campus Doctor that the players are fit to play.
3.3.4 Step 4: If the Team Gallery and Medical Checklist are accomplished with
signatures from the concerned offices, the Team RepresentaEve then may
submit it to the School RepresentaEve for compilaEon of all the event’s
requirements.
3.3.5 Step 5: Ager compilaEon, the School RepresentaEve will submit their school’s
requirements by scanning and uploading the sog copy to the One Drive folder
provided by the organizers. The hard copy of the requirements will NOT be
submiced to the organizers; the School’s RepresentaEve will use it for future
reference.
3.3.6 Step 6: Once submiced, inform the concerned Event Commicee to confirm that
the requirements are received.

4 OrganizaAonal Chart
4
5 EliminaAon Games
5.1 EliminaEon games for Team Sports will be held on March 10 – 14,
2024, from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM only, at NU Dasmariñas Gymnasium.
5.2 Team Sports eliminaEon games will be in Single Round Robin Format.
5.3 By the end of the round, rankings will be based on the sports specific guidelines.
6 Play-off Games
6.1 A do-or-die crossover game will be done to determine the match for the playoff games. Rank 1
will be against Rank 4; Rank 2 will be against Rank 3.
6.2 Team Sports Semi-Finals games will be held on March 13/14, 2024.
6.3 There will be a finals game and a bacle for 3rd during the University Week 2025.
7 Medical Process
7.1 A standby medical team will be available during events to assist with injuries. If a medical team is
not in the venue, the injured player must be assisted going to the HSO.
7.2 Injured players must receive medical clearance from the HSO before conEnuing to parEcipate.
8 Appeals Process
8.1 Appeals regarding game results or penalEes must be submiced in wriEng by the school
representaEve within 24 hours ager the game.
8.2 Appeals must include:
8.2.1 Formal lecer addressed to the Event Commicee Head.
8.2.2 A detailed descripEon of the incident.
8.2.3 Any supporEng evidence (photos, videos)
8.3 The Event Commicee Head, Overall Head Organizer, and one Faculty member who does not
belong to both concerned teams to be on the neutral side, and the necessary people will review
the appeal. The necessary people will be decided by the Event Commicee Head and/or the
Overall Head Organizer.
8.4 Decisions made by the Appeals Commicee will be final and binding.
9 PenalAes
9.1 Default
9.1.1 All events will follow the rule of succession.
9.1.2 DefaulEng Eme is also the warm-up Eme. The game will be considered default
once the opposing team is sEll not present right ager the default/warm-up Eme.
The team that is present will be declared as winners.
9.1.3 If a default game occurs, the succeeding will follow.
9.1.4 DefaulEng Eme will vary depending on the sports played.
9.2 Raising of Concerns (Verbally)
9.2.1 Raising concerns will be through the school representaEve.
9.2.2 If the concern is urgent, the team representaEve may go directly to the Event
Commicee Head/s, with the presence of the school representaEve.
9.2.3 The following are the Event Commicee Heads

9.3 Changing of players
9.3.1 Changing players that are not included in the
gallery is highly prohibited.
9.3.2 Once caught, all the team’s remaining games will be forfeited, and will be
disqualified from the tournament.
9.4 Playing Dual Sports
9.4.1 PenalEes for playing 2 SporEng Events:
• First Offense: Verbal warning. The player may focus on one sport only.
• Second Offense: 1 game suspension for both joined sports by the player.
• Third Offense: DisqualificaEon of the player to join both sports for the
remainder of the tournament.
9.5 Incomplete Requirements
9.5.1 Submission of requirements will be on March 3, 2024.
9.5.2 To be considered complete, the School RepresentaEve shall upload all
teams/event galleries verified by the campus registrar and medical checklists
verified by HSO.
9.5.3 5 points will be deducted per missed day from the overall poinEng system (e.g. 2
days late will get 10 points deducEon from the overall poinEng system).
9.5.4 If unable to upload the gallery on the One Drive provided by the organizers
during tournament day, the players/team will be prohibited from playing. The
game affected by the said concern will result to default.
9.5.5 Once the team completes the requirements despite defaulEng from Rule 7.4.4,
they may conEnue to play the next Eme they play.
9.6 Unsportsmanlike behavior
9.6.1 Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g. foul language, threats, physical altercaEons) will
not be tolerated.
9.6.2 Priority of rules under unsportsmanlike behavior will be the sports – specific
guidelines.
9.6.3 Unsportsmanlike behavior includes, but is not limited to:
• Physical violence, threats, or intenEonal harm to others.
• Use of foul or offensive language.
• Disrespecpul acEons toward players, officials, or spectators.
• Tampering with equipment or property.
• CheaEng or intenEonal rule violaEons.
9.6.4 PenalEes for unsportsmanlike behavior:
• First Offense: Warning issued by the officials or the Event Commicee
Head
• Second Offense: For individual players, disqualificaEon from the game.
For teams, a deducEon of 10 points from the overall poinEng system.
• Third Offense: DisqualificaEon from the tournament and suspension
from future games.

11 Uniform
11.1 Team Sports
11.1.1 All team sports must wear complete up-and-down jerseys.
11.1.2 Players may wear undershirt compression.
11.1.3 Failure to wear proper jerseys will be prohibited from playing.
11.1.4 If in case the player’s jersey is not delivered in Eme, an excuse lecer must be
given to the event commicee head, signed by the Coach and School
RepresentaEve. Failure to comply will not be permiced to play.
11.2 Individual/Dual Sports
11.2.1 For racket sports such as Badminton and Table Tennis, they may wear a
sleeveless jersey or with sleeve jersey.
11.2.2 For Darts, Chess, and Esports, the players are required to wear jerseys with
sleeves.

TEAM SPORTS
I. Guidelines for Team Sports
The organizers will arrange the schedule of games and monitor the whole compeEEon. Passing of requirements,
quesEons, and concerns should be addressed to the following faculEes in-charge:

A. Volleyball (Men/Women)
o The team is composed of minimum of 12 and maximum of 15 players, with 1 or 2 coach/es.
o The compeEEon will implement the FIVB 2021-2024 rules with Best-of three format (2 sets to win).
o Round-robin format and points system will be applied to determine the ranking of each team.

o Only 2 Emeouts per set are given to each team. There will be no technical Emeout.
o Libero should have a different color of the jersey. (0 or 2 liberos only)

B. Basketball (Men/Women)
o Men’s team shall have a minimum of 12 and maximum of 15 players, while women’s team shall have
a minimum of 10 and maximum of 12 players, with 1 or 2 coach/es.
o The compeEEon will implement the FIBA rules. 8
§ 10 minutes per quarter running Eme except Emeouts,
free throws, and last 2 minutes of 4th Quarter.
§ 2 Emeouts at first half, and 3 Eme-outs for second half. Unused Emeouts during
the first half will not carry over to the second half.
o Round-robin format will be implemented during eliminaEon games.
o The ranking of the teams will be based on the following:
§ Priority no. 1: Team standings. The win-loss record during the eliminaEon round, which will
serve as the primary basis for the rankings.
§ Priority no. 2: Points system. During the eliminaEon round, winner each match will earn 2
points, while the losing team will earn 1 point. Point system will not be applicable if the teams’
rank is determined through the team standings.
§ Priority no. 3: QuoEent system. This is the difference between the team’s scores of every
match and its opponents’ scores combined. QuoEent system will not be applicable if the
teams’ rank is determined through the points system.

- Number of players – Each team must consist of (minimum) 8 -
(Maximum) 10 players including the reserve player. (4-5 players for
men’s category and 4-5 players for women’s category)
- Singles Players – Total of 2 players. 1 Singles A and 1 Singles B (For Men and Women)
- Doubles Players – 1 Pair of players for the doubles match (For Men and Women)
1.2 Team Lineups – Coach will write their lineup for that specific game (ex. Team A vs Team B) on a form
provided by the organizer.
- Once the form already collected by the umpire, it cannot be changed.
- You may change your lineup once every game or you may sEck to your previous lineup.
- If the doubles partner (according to the lineup given (one of the main players) is not present, it
will result to default. AutomaEc 1 win goes to opponent.
- Same goes to Singles A and Singles B. If they are not present during their game, it will result to
default. (Right ager the warmup)
1.4. No alteraEons or new entries will be accepted ager the form.
(This event will follow the rule of succession)

V. ENTRY
Submission of Entries must be made no later than March 3, 2025. Acceptance of entries may be closed
earlier than the deadline in case the total number of entries of the event has reached the maximum number of
target entries.

1. The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the current InternaEon Table Tennis
FederaEon (ITTF) Rules. However, any unforeseen circumstances that may arise throughout the tournament
which are not covered by the ITTF Rules shall be resolved by the organizing commicee.
2. The format will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION. A double-eliminaEon tournament is broken into two sets of
brackets, generally called the winner’s bracket and the loser’s bracket.
3. Each team begins in the winner’s bracket, but once they lose, they move to the loser’s bracket, where
they sEll have an opportunity to make it to the championship. Note: There will be a play off if the winner of the
loser’s bracket defeats the winner of the winner’s bracket.
4. Table Tennis game structure will be best-of 3 sets. Championship game will be best-of 5 sets.

VIII. SYSTEM OF PLAY

IX. DRAWS
1. The draw lots for the event will be take place in a public session.

3. The rackets must be ITTF Approved (it is located on the rubber), if not, at least a decent rubber.
Sandpaper is not allowed.
XI. OFFICIALS

The Officials will consist of (2) Umpires (1 umpire per table). All officials must not have biases and resolve
problems in accordance with ITTF Rules.

1. The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the current Badminton Rules. However, any
unforeseen circumstances that may arise throughout the tournament which are not covered by the Badminton
Rules shall be resolved by the organizing commicee.
2. The format will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION. A double-eliminaEon tournament is broken into two sets of
brackets, generally called the winner’s bracket and the loser’s bracket.
3. Each team begins in the winner’s bracket, but once they lose, they move to the loser’s bracket, where
they sEll have an opportunity to make it to the championship.
4. The tournament will follow an SDS Format (Singles A – Doubles – Singles B). The first player/team to
reach 21 points wins a set. A match will be a best-of-three sets.
5. If the score is 20-20, a side must win by two clear points to win the set. If it reaches 29-29, the first to
get their 30th point wins the set.
VI. PENALTIES
- There will be a defaulEng Eme of 10- minutes ager the scheduled Eme.
• TEAM EVENT

The Officials will consist of (2) Umpires, (1 umpire per Net). All officials must not have biases and resolve
problems in accordance with BWF Rules.

the whole compeEEon. Passing of requirements, quesEons, and concerns should be addressed to the following

II. DATE AND VENUE: The tournament will be held on March 2024, at the National University(TBA), Dasmarinas
Cavite.
III. EVENT:
1. Men and Women Category
a. Each team must have 1 male and 1 female player for each category. A gallery is needed and
must be submitted on or before March 3, 2025.
III. ELIGIBILITY
A player/team who is currently enrolled this Academic Year 2024-2025 2nd Term.
IV. RULES AND COMPETITION FORMAT

1. The tournament shall be conducted under the current Darts
Rules. However, any unforeseen circumstances that may arise throughout the
tournament which are not covered by the Darts Rules shall be resolved by the organizing
committee.
2. The format of the game will be round robin with 2 brackets elimination. There will be 2 Brackets for
each category. Bracket A (Team 1,2 and 3). Bracket B (Team 4, 5, and 6). The ranks 1 and 2 of each
bracket will proceed to semi-finals while those teams who ranked 3rd for each bracket will be eliminated.
The semi-final winners will proceed to the championship while the losers will have a battle for third.
3. There will be a defaulting time of 10- minutes after the scheduled time.
ROUND-ROBIN ELIMINATION FORMAT
1. The players should wear their jerseys. Failing to do so, will be automatically default.
2. All players of the team must be dressed uniformly with the same colors of clothing.
3. Dart pins must be provided by the players.
VI. OFFICIALS
Match Officials
The Officials will be the faculties from the PE department.

3. The Eme control will be 30 minutes each player total of 1 hour each game

1.2 Team Lineups – Arbiters will provide the schedule and pairings of tournament.

E-SPORTS
I. AUTHORITY: Physical Educa>on Department / NUD SIGMA ESPORTS – The Organizers will arrange the
schedule of games and monitor the whole compeEEon. Passing of requirements, quesEons, and concerns
should be addressed to the following faciliEes in Charge.
1.1 Tasked to complete and compile all the requirements of their respecEve players. Failure to
provide any necessary requirements or incomplete cannot compete during the tournament.
1.2 “No Coach, no play” policy. Players are allowed to recruit a Coach or Manager from the Sigma
Esports players, Must only provide a formal lecer of request with signature of the RepresentaEve
or Head of the department.
1.3 Only the coach indicated in the gallery should be present during games. Faculty Members
who are not part of the gallery or a coaching staff should not intervene during games unless
provided with an authorizaEon lecer approved by the faculty in charge.
2.1 No upper jersey, no play. Players must have the same IGN tag in their jersey and Same
Account Name during the Event. Failure to do so may not enter the event.
2.2 Playing with inappropriate ahre is not allowed ( Foul shirts, sando, ripped jeans etc)
2.3 Players must observe sportsmanship. Failure to do so will get warnings and
SancEons or ban to any esports event held and Organized by Sigma Esports
2.4 No Trash Talking or TaunEng, may result in warning or out in a game.
2.5 A player can only join one (1) team. No other esports game
2.6 Players must not have any record of Warning, SancEon or Ban in Sigma Esports ( may be a
player, officer or Fan ) Sigma Esports aims to provide a friendly and fair event where all acendees
are safe to any form of
II. DATE AND VENUE: The tournament will be held on the said date of the event, at NaEonal University
Dasmarinas. SIGMA ESPORTS will provide the designated venue for each game.

III. EVENT
1.1. Each of the Schools (SASE, SBMA, SECA, SHS) must have at least 5-7 players. It must
be(4) man and (1) woman or vice versa. (1-2) reserved players
(1) man and (1) woman.
1.2 5 man or 5 woman teams are not allowed to play a match. It should be mixed. Total of
4 teams. A woman must play per game or atleast have multiple recorded that they played
during the event

2.1. Each of the Schools (SASE, SBMA, SECA, SHS) must have 1-2 players. It can be both male, both
female, or mixed of (1) male and (1) female. The other player will be served as a substitute player

V. ENTRY : Submission of Entries must be made 1 week before the event Due to IdenEty checking
by Sigma Esports and Account Checking. Acceptance of entries may be closed earlier than the
deadline in case the total number of entries of the event has reached the maximum number of
target entries. No sudden Changes allowed if the required number has been reached or the date
is near to the event.

are not responsible for providing any wifi connecEon.
9. Each team begins in the winner’s bracket, but once they lose, they move to the loser’s
bracket, where they sEll have an opportunity to make it to the championship. Note: There
will be a play off if the winner of the loser’s bracket defeats the winner of the winner’s
bracket. SIGMA ESPORTS will be releasing the brackets in Challonge.
10. New Heroes are not allowed to use during the event.

VIII. DRAWS
1. The draw for the event will take place in a public session. The draw lots
schedule will be announced by the Organizers/Officials.
1. The players should wear their own jerseys. Failure to do so, will be
automaEcally default.
2. All players of the team must be dressed uniformly with the same colors of
clothing.
XII. OFFICIALS
Match Officials : The Officials will consist of (1-2) spectators/host-in game and 1
spectator-live game foreach team.

ranks and it will be added to their Overall Points.

NU – DASMARIÑAS FESTIVAL DANCE (STREET DANCE) COMPETITION 2025
I. RATIONALE
FesEval Dances are cultural dances performed by different places to celebrate and
commemorate the important events in their community. These events are also done to
preserve their culture and to bring everyone together.
For this year’s University Week celebraEon, performing fesEval dances to kick off the week-
long event will be a great way to start.
II. OBJECTIVES

III. MECHANICS
i. All parEcipants must be officially enrolled students at NU-Dasmariñas.
ii. Every group must have an entry. Failure to comply will result to a deducEon of 15
points from the overall score of the team.
iii. Minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 dancers per group.
iv. It can be all male or all female or mixed.
v. Music must not less than 5 minutes and not more than 8 minutes. 1 point deducEon
will be applied to the total score for every less and exceeding second.
vi. Music must be appropriate to the school environment. Having foul words in the
music will result to 10 points deducEon from the total score.
vii. Music should be sent to the organizers on or before March 14, 2025.
viii. Props and costumes must be made of recycled materials. Buying brand new
materials for those is highly discouraged.
ix. Hiring outsiders as choreographers is prohibited. Officially enrolled students or
faculty members of every schools only are allowed to be choreographers.
x. All teams must submit the following requirements for eligibility checking:

take care of the bringing of requirements to the concerned offices
(Campus Registrar and HSO).
ü All teams must submit their team gallery to the Campus Registrar first
for verificaEon.

representaEve will then bring the gallery together with the medical
checklist to the HSO for verificaEon that the players are fit to play.
