Bootable USB Utility Image v3.3
2/3/10
The included software on the USB key image will allow the computer technician to restore, repair, or fix
virtually any PC problem.
***If the included “USB Image Tool.exe” won’t load on you machine, then the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
must be installed for this process. It can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=79bc3b77-e02c-4ad3-aacf-a7633f706ba5&D

To image your USB key, simply insert it into the Windows machine and run the "USB Image Tool.exe"
program in the parent folder of this text file. Make sure that you run the program from your local machine
and NOT from a network drive. (I’d also recommend copying the entire folder and Disk image to your local
disk to ensure a quick and clean installation.)
***Note***
If you are imaging your flash-drive on a Vista or Windows 7 machine with the UAC enabled (User
Access Control) you’ll need to run the “USB Image Tool.exe” with Administrator rights. To do this
right click the Program and select the option to “Run as administrator.”

**Important**
This USB image was created on a 2 gigabyte USB stick to ensure maximum compatibility with various
models and storage sizes.
Once the new USB drive has been imaged, any extra-unallocated space on the USB drive will have to be
re-added to the disk's primary partition by using one of the partitioning tools available on the Utilities disk. If
this is not done after imaging then windows will recognize any imaged USB drives as only having a
2-gigabyte capacity.
I recommend using the "Acronis Disk Director Suite" under the Partition Tools section of the "Hiren's Dos
Boot CD v 13 Reloaded." Under "Manual" mode, simply select your USB disk and select to resize it. Then
simply click on the drive partition and stretch it to use the remainder of the disk space. See below for details.
Depending on your computer and BIOS options you should now be able to boot from the USB drive and see
the following options. You will now need to resize your flash-drive’s primary partition to include space that
might not have been included after imaging the stick.
When double clicked, or inserted into a Windows XP machine, the newly imaged USB disk should auto-run
an XML script, which will present a few handy applications for cleaning infected and clogged machines.
(Autorun must be enabled on the machine)
For machines running Windows Vista, Windows 7, you will need to double click the “AutoplayMM.exe” file to
launch the Windows Utility menu.
