Mahakumbh 2025

Implementing initiatives to ensure environmental protection during the event.

Ideas:

1.

.The “Whispering Trees: Intelligent Shade and Carbon Reduction Network” is a

budget-friendly initiative at MahaKumbh that enhances both spiritual and environmental
experiences. Native trees like Neem, Peepal, and Banyan will be planted to provide
shade and reduce the need for artificial cooling, while helping lower carbon emissions.
Solar-powered speakers hidden in the trees will play soft spiritual chants, creating a
serene atmosphere.

Pilgrims can scan QR codes on the trees to learn about their significance and earn
Digital Blessing Tokens for eco-friendly actions like planting or reducing their carbon
footprint. These tokens can be exchanged for digital blessings or immersive
experiences. The initiative combines environmental care with spirituality, offering a
cost-effective and scalable way to promote sustainability at future events.

2.

The Zero-Waste Pilgrim Path at MahaKumbh promotes eco-friendly behavior through

cultural storytelling and digital rewards. Volunteers, dressed as mythological figures,
share stories linking cleanliness to spiritual purity, while Eco-Pledge Stations encourage
zero-waste living. QR codes at waste disposal and refill stations reward actions with
Digital Blessing Tokens that can be exchanged for virtual blessings and cultural stories.

The initiative also includes Zero-Waste Community Challenges with leaderboards,

giving the most eco-friendly groups Digital Certificates of Service. Working with vendors
for eco-friendly products and using a Digital Deposit System to return reusable items
helps reduce waste. This initiative combines culture and digital engagement, offering a
cost-effective and scalable solution to promote sustainability.
