 2.INTRODUCTION
The project Online Hospital Management system includes registration of patients, storing their details
into the system, and labs. The software has the facility to give a unique id for every patient and stores
the details of every patient and the staff automatically. It includes a search facility to know the current
status of each room. User can search availability of a doctor and the details of a patient using the id.

The Online Hospital Management System can be entered using a username and password. It is
accessible either by an administrator or receptionist. The interface is very user-friendly. The data are
well protected for personal use and makes the data processing very fast.

Online Hospital Management System is powerful, flexible, and easy to use and is designed and
developed to deliver real conceivable benefits to hospitals.

Online Hospital Management System is designed for multispeciality hospitals, to cover a wide range
of hospital administration and management processes. It is an integrated end-to-end Hospital
Management System that provides relevant information across the hospital to support effective
decision making for patient care.

Online Hospital Management System is a software product suite designed to improve the quality and
management of hospital management in the areas of clinical process analysis and activity-based
costing. Hospital Management System enables you to develop your organization and improve its
effectiveness and quality of work. Managing the key processes efficiently is critical to the success of
the hospital helps you manage your processes

• The aim of the study to fully related with Hospital Management system.
• The Software is for the automation of Hospital Management System.
• Is maintains two levels of users:-
_Administrators Level
_User Level
• The Software includes:-
_Maintaining Patient details.
_Providing Prescription,Precautions and Diet advice.
_Providing and maintaining all kinds of tests for a patient.

Main objectives of a Online Hospital Management System are:

Design a system for better patient care.

Reduce hospital operating costs.

Provide MIS (Management Information System) report on demand to management for better
decision making.

Better co-ordination among the different departments.

Provide top management a single point of control.

Online Hospital management System handles activities of major departments in a hospital

like:

1. Front Office/OPD Management

2. Patient management (scheduling, registration and long-term care)

3.Patient care management and departmental modules (radiology, pharmacy and pathology
labs)

• Operational Feasibility – The study involves
recognizing and streamlining the operations in order to
make them function seamlessly. The experienced
healthcare consultants study the operational feasibility as
on how effectively the operations could be structured.
This plan includes identifying and finding solutions for
the bottlenecks, loopholes, functional gaps and, internal
and external communication challenges.
• Technical Feasibility – Focusing on the development of
the technical aspects is imperative for healthcare

determining whether the technical resources are on par

The proposed system is Hospital Management System. We

can enhance this system by includingmore facilities like
pharmacy system for the stock details of medicines in the
pharmacy.Providing such features enable the users to include
more comments into the system.

12.Disadvantages:
One of the greatest disadvantages of the hospital management
system is generally related to security. It is considered to be a
matter of concern in case you go online without enough
protection which can create some big problems related to
security.

Lack of employment is another such thing. The chances of

employment usually become less with the automation of the
system. Also, the gradual need for manual data drafting
becomes an irrelevant aspect.

Therefore, the overall procedure of the software

implementation is considered to be a difficult task. Another
difficulty faced is associated with the process of getting
training properly.
