Evaluators
This internship report has been written at the successful completion of internship training at Hindustan
Aeronautics Limited (HAL) LCA Tejas Division in IT Department, as a requirement of my BE program
in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VTU University. As being completely new to
practical, corporate world setting, every hour spent there gave me immense amount of experience all the
time. But nevertheless, they were all useful for my career.
This report is divided into four chapters. The first chapter of this study deals with the detailed description
about the company and its different domains. The second chapter deals with the detailed description
about the IT department in the organization as well different services provided by this department. The
third chapter is about the Web application which is used in creating a useful website process. The fourth
chapter is about the reflection notes that describes my experience while working on the project assigned
to me. The last is about the references that are referred while the tasks are performed.
The internship program has broadened my knowledge base, which was made possible through my
participation in the various tasks that were assigned to me and my interaction with my colleagues at the
organization. It has been a wonderful experience at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and it will
be of much benefit to the organization if it continues to create similar platforms for young people as a
way of building their experience in the organization.

2.2 Products:
Tejas is a single engine, light weight, highly agile, multi-role supersonic fighter. It has quadruplex digital fly-by-wire
Flight Control System (FCS) with associated advanced flight control laws. The aircraft with delta wing is designed
for ‘air combat’ and ‘offensive air support’ with ‘reconnaissance’ and ‘anti-ship’ as its secondary roles. Extensive use
of advanced composites in the airframe gives a high strength to weight ratio, long fatigue life and low radar signatures.
Aeronautical Development Agency is the designated project manager for the development of LCA.

In HAL, IT plays a major role in reducing the working time and completion of any task is done in ease.
This method includes some of the following functions which is very useful in this field:
▪ They help in the Online Attendance Entry System, the system reduces the manual work, the company can

▪ Since there is a huge amount of data which is to be stored in the company and the major task is to manage that
data, we should have the ability to access the data anywhere with proper authentication. Hence ERP system is
used.

CONCLUSION
This application is user-friendly and informative platform that effectively represents HAL, catering to its
stakeholders and aligning with its goals. Our emphasis on user experience ensures that visitors can easily
access information, explore HAL's products and services, and connect with the company seamlessly. The
incorporation of user feedback mechanisms and intuitive interfaces enhances the overall usability of the
website.
This website also gives information about other divisions of HAL and awards received for their immersive
projects. We have included a chatbot where any employee or client can ask information where only
authorized user (employee) can answer the questions. We have tried our best to make this application very
realistic and interactive to the user.
Future Enhancement
Regularly update content and features based on user feedback and changing requirements.
Monitor website analytics to track user behavior and make data-driven improvements.
Keep all software components up to date to ensure security and compatibility.
Creating a website is an iterative process, and continuous improvement which is essential for a
successful online presence.
