Interview Information and Relevant History:

Miss Anishka is 7 years and 4 months old female, single child, studying in Upper
Kindergarten currently living with her mother in Varanasi. The child was born out of full-
term pregnancy, through the cesarean mode of delivery, conceived 4 years post-marriage.
The age of mother at the time of conception was 24 years. The child had an immediate birth
cry and a birth weight of 4 kilograms.

The child was maintaining well till the age of 5 years and had reached all her age-appropriate
milestones. As reported post COVID lockdown, the child started showing irritable mood,
excessive crying, and increased activity levels as she was seen biting and pricking herself,
would often pull her hair, involve in excessive itching, and would excessively touching and
smell herself. She would often be found crying in the classroom and would find it difficult to
sit in one place. The child would often refuse to follow commands. The child was reported to
have frequent shifts in food preference and would mostly demand junk food. As further
reported, for the past 3 months the child shows overfamiliarity towards strangers as she
frequently hugs and smells others. She has been on medications ( Sizodon 2.5 mg and
Arkamine 0.1mg) for the past 2 and half years.

Behavioral Observations

Miss Anishka came along with her mother for the assessment. During the assessment,
the child showed increased activity levels as she did not remain seated in one place and was
often found running around the room.
She maintained eye contact and greeted the examiners with a handshake followed
by a hug. She even smelled one of the examiners. The child was found to be self-involved
while playing in the room, would get easily distracted and her interest would shift quickly
from one activity to another. She responded verbally to the examiner's questions and was able
to follow simple instructions such as “ Go and Stand there ” with mild difficulty.

IQ/DQ/ Assessment

DQ Assessment: Developmental Screening Test (DST)

The test results indicate a Developmental Quotient (DQ) which is suggestive of an Average
Level of Intelligence.
