Math Research Emil

The document presents the results of a Mathematics Third Periodical Test, including a frequency distribution table, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), measures of position (Q1, D4, P75), and measures of variability (range, variance, standard deviation). It also includes research questions regarding the difficulties faced by Grade 9 Sillada students, their strategies for overcoming these challenges, and their motivations. The survey results indicate varying levels of struggle and support among the students.

2.Find the measure of Central tendency
(Mean, Median, Mode)

MEAN MEDIAN MODE

(x̄) = ∑fx/n x̃= Lb + [ N/2- <cf / f ] × i LB+(D1/D1+D2)D2

(x̄) = 2,560/32 76.5+(16-11/9)8 D¹=9-5=4

3. Find the measure of position
(Q1, D4, P75)

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

1.What are the difficulties that have you encountered during the third quarter Math?
Among the 32 Grade 9 Sillada students, about 23 students answered each research questions
with different answers. 13% or about 4 students found it hard to solve math problems, 41% or
around 13 students felt confused about new lessons, and 19% or about 6 students struggled
with not having enough time to finish their work. About 27% students in Grade 9 Sillada did not
participated in survey

2.How did you manage such difficulties?

To overcome these difficulties, 13% or about 4 students reviewed their lessons regularly, 25% or
around 8 students sought help from others, and 34% or about 11 students practiced solving
problems. About 28% of Grade 9 Sillada did not participated in survey

3.What motivates you to overcome and manage such difficulties during the third quarter?
Regarding their motivation, 6% or about 2 students aimed to improve their quarterly grades,
22% or around 7 students were encouraged by support from teachers, family, and friends, while
44% or about 14 students relied on personal determination and hard work. About 28% of Grade
9 Sillada did not participated in survey
