Simultaneous Equations

A linear equation is an equation in two variables which will produce a straight line when it is drawn on a graph for example =2 1

Simultaneous equations are two equations, each with two variables, which have a solution which satisfies both equations. When drawn on a graph the lines
cross at this solution.

Elimination is a method for finding the solution which satisfies both simultaneous equations
