According to the article I read about constructing a 50 million worth cauldron,, it was questioned
at the Senate budget plenary. Drilon and Angara were arguing about considering to construct the
cauldron or not. Drilon stated that the 50 million pesos could construct 50 classrooms that can
help the students to have a better learning center. While Angara stated that constructing the
cauldron could show the Filipino creativity and design. It states that the two senators are
contrasting about their opinions about using the 50 million worth cauldron.
After reading an article about consuming 50 million pesos for the cauldron to use for the SEA
games, I beg to disagree about it. According to Drilon, he questions if consuming 50 million
worth cauldron is more important than building more classrooms for education. With Drilon’s
statement, I agree with it, not just because children needs education but because we are now
lacking in funds in our country. Constructing a 50 million worth cauldron will make our country
more poor that it was before. Also, it can only be used once which is a big waste of money
because even if it is a big event, the money can be used for more important matters in the
Philippines.
