ECONOMICS END OF MONTH REPORT

STUNDENT CLASS PERCENTAGE COMMENTS

MAKANAKA F3 60 Performance:

There was a slight improvement in the marks


obtained as compared to the previous work
written end of January. She improved in
answering questions that require analysis.
However, she still faces challenges in answering
multiple choice questions and evaluation
questions.

Remedy:

More revision will be given focusing on multiple


choice answering skills and developing
evaluation skills. The teacher will engage the
learner on her free time to ensure she develop
these skills through answering past exam
questions.

PATHISANI F3 32 Performance:

Performance is not improving as compared to


the test written end of January. She is having
challenges grasping the basic concepts in the
subject. She managed to get correct some
multiple choice questions and had challenges
answering those with graphs. Her knowledge
and understanding skills, analysis and evaluation
skills are below the expected level.
Remedy:

The teacher has started having individualised


revision focusing on all the skills assessed. The
teacher aims to ensure that she develop these
skills to a pass level before the end of the term
exams begin.

MUNASHE F3 68 Performance:

The learner’s performance improved as


compared to the previous test written end of
January. He did not have a pass mark previously
but managed to get a pass mark as his
knowledge and understanding skills have
improved as well as analysis skills. However,
evaluation skills are still below the expected
level as well as skills in answering multiple
choice questions especially those with graphs.

Remedy:

The teacher will keep on giving question


revision questions as he seems to improve with
more practice. More past exam questions will be
given as homework to foster reading.

CLARK F3 52 Performance:

The learner’s performance improved as


compared to his end of January performance. He
has improved in knowledge and understanding.
He is getting better in answering multiple choice
questions. However, his analysis skills and
evaluation skills are below the expected level.
The learner struggles in answering questions that
assess analysis and evaluation.

Remedy:

The teacher will administer remediation


focusing on answering techniques on questions
that assess analysis and evaluation skills. The
learner will be given more multiple choice
questions to practice before they start writing
end of term examinations.

ASHER Form 3 64 Performance:

This was a fair performance compared to his


performance in daily exercises and other tests
given previously. He improved in answering
multiple choice questions and questions that
require analysis. However, there is still more he
needs to do in answering analysis questions and
evaluation questions.

Remedy:

The teacher will give more past exam questions


so that the learner may have more practice to
improve in his analysis and evaluation skills. He
will be given more multiple choice questions for
practice so that he can get a better mark at the
end of the term.

BLESSING Form 3 62 Performance:

The learner has greatly improved in the test as


compared to his performance in previous tests
and exercises. His skills in answering questions
that assess analysis have improved. However, he
still faces challenges in answering multiple
choice questions and questions that needs
evaluation.

Remedy:

The teacher will keep on giving more past exam


questions for practice and revision will be
focusing on developing the skills lacking. The
learner will be given more multiple choice
questions for practice.

DALITSO Form 5 60 Performance:

The performance was within the expectations of


the teacher. He managed to answer well the
multiple choice paper. However, he had
challenges answering questions with graphs and
calculations. In paper 2 he still faces challenges
answering evaluation questions.

Remedy:

The student will be given more revision


questions focusing on calculations and
interpreting graphs. The teacher will emphasis
more on how analysis and evaluation is shown
in essays. More questions focusing on these
skills will be given.

PANASHE Form 5 54 Performance:


Performance was below the teacher's
expectations. The learner did well in answering
multiple choice questions and is very good in
questions that require calculations and questions
with graphs. In essay writing he has challenges
in bringing out analysis and evaluation which
affect his final marks.

Remedy:

The teacher has started giving more exam papers


with the aim of enhancing his skills in answering
questions. The teacher will keep on monitoring
his performance these two weeks to ensure he
gets to the end of the term ready
