HRMS SETUP
Define the flexfields for your organization then create your business group and
attach your flexfields to your business group. And create your basic
organization structure for which you have to do the HRMS setup.
NOTE-: For HRMS setup your organization should have the classification
asHR Organization.
FLEXFIELDS-
They help you customize applications, by holding particular information your
enterprise needs where you need it. A key flexfield can hold as many as 30
separate segments of information. You can determine exactly what information to
hold and how it must be entered.
Oracle HRMS includes six user-definable key flexfields. These are especially
useful in helping you build information on work structures that suit the culture of
your enterprise.
Using flexfields you can determine segments for your job, position, etc.
We need to define –
Flexfields Application
Job flexfield Human Resources
Position flexfield Human Resources
Competence flexfield Human Resources
Grade flexfield Human Resources
People group flexfield Payroll
Cost allocation flexfield Payroll
NAVIGATION-
System administrator > Application > Flexfield > Segments.
1) Define a Job flexfield for your organization.
You need to freeze the flexfield before compiling. After freezing you won’t be able
to change any segments of your flexfield.
For changing any flexfield yoyu need to first unfreeze it and then make any change
in the segments.

2) Define Position Flexfield-

NAVIGATION-: HRMS responsibility > Work structures > Job > Job
Group.
As you classify your organization as a HR organization, a default Job group
is created for your organization. If you want to change the name of the
group you can do that.
8) Define Job-
Navigation-: HRMS responsibility > Work structures > Job >Description.
9) Define Position-
Navigation-
In the position form, only those jobs will appear which are created in the
default job group of your organization.
Jobs under any other job group will not appear in the LOV for Job.
10) Define an Employee-
Navigation-
If the LOV for GRE (Tax Organization) doesn’t populate the ensure that the
organization is classifies as the GRE/LE also. And also make sure that the Income
tax info is also filled.
