Welcome to our much-anticipated 2024 Intramurals! Today is a day of camaraderie, teamwork, and of
course, fun! (Adlib: Fun right?! Now, Let me hear a shout from the Green Team….. How about the Yellow
Team?)

With that, we can already feel the excitement in the air! But before going to the peak of this event let me
start with a quote that perfectly captures the spirit of what today is all about. ‘Sports do not build
character. They reveal it.’ – Heywood Broun.

Remember, today is not just about winning or losing, but about showcasing the heart, determination,
and passion that each of you brings to the field. It's about revealing your character through every play,
every cheer, and every step.

To our school head, Mr. Jerome G. Velasco, to our esteemed guest, Barangay Captain Honorable Felipe
Diano, to our SPTA officers headed by Mrs. Paulina Tero, to the members of faculty and staff, parents,
students, ladies and gentlemen, good morning!

Now, for us to seek God’s guidance and blessings for this event, let us have Ms. Rhea P. Glipo, to led us
the opening prayer and please remain standing for the singing of the national anthem.

Alright, again, are you all exciteeeeeeeeeeed? We wanna hear you cheer from the Grade 7 -----the Green
Team (pause for the students to give their cheer) ……….. and also a loud cheer from the Grade 8 ---------
the Yellow Team (pause for the students to give their cheer also) ………..

To formally start this remarkable event, help us welcome our school head, Mr. Jerome G. Velasco for his
welcome address. Let’s give him a round of applause!

Thank you so much Mr. Velasco for the warm words of welcome. Truly that Intramurals, or sports
competitions, play a vital role in the overall well-being of students. Through sports, students learn how
to strive for victory, gracefully accept defeat, interact with others, and develop strong character traits.
These experiences help shape them into well-rounded individuals, preparing them for future success.

At this juncture, let us welcome our lovely SPTA President, Mrs. Paulina Tero for her wonderful
inspirational message for us.

Up next, we are also fortunate to have the support of our community. Let us welcome Hon. Felipe Diano,
our Barangay Captain.

Thank you so much Hon. Diano, your words remind us of the importance of unity, sportsmanship, and
community involvement, which are all essential as we embark on this exciting event. Thank you for your
continued support and for being an integral part of today’s celebration.

And again, intramurals are the perfect opportunity to highlight camaraderie, sportsmanship, and talent.
At this moment, let us witness the lighting of the torch to be lighted by Kenrick Salubre, a Grade 8
student, and the Mr. Intramurals 2023.
And now, the torch has been lighted, symbolizing the spirit of unity, determination, and sportsmanship
that will guide us throughout this event. Let this flame be a reminder to give our best in every game, to
support one another, and to honor the true essence of competition.

At this moment, may we invite Kwencess Niña Barrot, Grade 8 student and Ms. Intramurals 2023 to lead
the Oath of Amateurism.

The Oath of Amateurism has been successfully conducted, affirming each athlete’s commitment to
fairness, integrity, and respect for the true spirit of competition. With this pledge, we are all reminded to
play with honor, uphold the values of sportsmanship, and give our best while embracing camaraderie
throughout the games. Let’s make this a memorable and meaningful event for everyone!

With great excitement and anticipation, and in the spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and friendly
competition, let us invite our school head, Mr. Jerome G. Velasco, to officially declare the Intramurals
2024 open.
