Q. Draw the three views of point Q lying 50 mm below HP, 60 mm in front of VP and 40 mm
from the LPP. Also state the quadrant in which it lies.
Q. Draw all the three views of a point P lies 60 mm above HP, 70 MM behind VP and 40 mm

Q. Apoint M is on HP and 30 mm in front of VP. Another point N is 20mm below HP and 20

Find distance between front views of M and N.
Q. A point P is on HP and 30 mm in front of VP. Another point Q is on VP and 40 mm above
HP. The distance between their projections parallel to XY line is 60 mm. Find the distance their
front views and top views of the points P and Q.
2. Projection of lines
Q. A line 80 mm long has its end A 20 mm above HP and 30 mm in front of VP, it is inclined
at 30° to HP and 45° to VP. Draw the projections of the line and find apparent lengths and
apparent inclinations.
Q. A line PQ of length 60 mm has one of its extremities 20mm in front of VP and 15 mm above
HP. The line is inclined at 25° to HP and 40° to VP. Draw its top view, front view, and its
apparent inclinations.
Q. The top view of a straight-line PQ is 70 mm long and makes an angle 60° with XY line. The
end Q is 10 mm in front of VP and 30 mm above HP. The difference between the distance of P
and Q above HP is 45 mm. Draw the projection, determine its true length, and true inclinations
with HP and VP.
Q. A line has its end A 10mm above HP and 15mm in front of VP. The end B is 55mm above
HP and the line is inclined 30° to HP and the distance between end projectors is 50mm. Draw
the projections of line and determine true length of the line & its inclinations with the VP.
Q. Front view of line AB measures 65mm long. The top view measures 50mm long. The end
point A is 15mm above HP and 20mm in front of VP. The distance between the two projections
measured parallel to XY-line is 35mm. Draw its projection. Find its true length, true
inclinations and apparent inclinations.
3. Projection of planes
Q. A square lamina of side 30mm rests on VP with one of its sides. The lamina is inclined to
VP at 30° and the side which rests on VP is inclined to HP at 40°. Draw its projection.
Q. A triangular lamina of 25mm sides rests on one of its corners on VP such that the median
passing through the on which it rests is inclined at 30° to HP 45° to VP. Draw its projection.
Q. An equilateral triangular lamina of 25mm sides lies with one of its corners on HP such that
the surface of the lamina is inclined to HP at 60°. The edge on which it rests is inclined to VP
at 60°. Draw its projection.
Q. A rectangular lamina of 35mmx20mm rests on HP with its shorter edge. The lamina is
rotated about the edge on which it rests till it appears as a square in the top view. The edge on
which the lamina rests being parallel to both HP & VP. Draw its projection and find its
inclinations to HP & VP.
Q. A regular hexagonal lamina of sides 25mm is lying in such a way that one of its edges on
HP. While the side opposite to the side on which it rest is on VP. If lamina makes 60° to HP.
Draw the projection of lamina.
Q. Darw top view and front view of hexagonal lamina of 300mm sides having two of its edges
parallel to both VP & HP and one of its edges 10mm from both of the planes or projection. The
surface of lamina is inclined at an angle of 60° to HP. Draw the projection of the lamina.
Q. A circular lamina is inclined to VP appears front view as ellipse with major axis 30mm and
