SYNOPSIS

Title of the project

Orphanage management system


Objective:
Orphanage is a place where orphans or oldage people live and
looked after.orphans are the one whose childrens may be died
because some of disasters or they may be staying in other
countries. To look after their parents they will search a good place
where their parents can be safe and secured. In orphanges they
provide many facilities like food, medical facility, prayer halls,
library, etc and they conduct some functions for entertainment
purposes and trips to some holy places. They provide landline
facilities and internet services to get information or to contact
them.they collect some charges monthly from their childrens to
look after their parents and also they collect funds from some
organisations and institutions for the maintenance of orphanage.

INPUT:
 Information about oldage people.
 Information about the services.
 Information about relations and childrens.

Output:
 The no of males and females.
 Detailed history of each and every person in house.
 Donation details.
 Facility provided.

Process logic:
 Existing system:
Now the details of the oldage people are maintained and
stored using register book and forms.
 Proposed system:
We are developing them a software from which they can
maintain the documents or information of the oldage people,
workers, etc neatly.
Here we are using 4 modules, those are
1. Caretaker
2. Administrator
3. Accounts
4. End user

JDK 1.5 - When we install this virtual machine will be
created this will be mandatory for advance java and j2ee.

J2EE – it is a framework which contains java based server


side programming language. Following are the some of
theserver side programs (jsp, serve let,jsf,ejb,jms,
hibernate) to work with our project we use jsp. To work
with server sideprogram we can choose any one of the
whole language as the server side program.

JSP – it is a java based and dac based server side


programming language. To work with this we need a web
server.

WEB SERVER – it’s a mediator between client and server it


reads the data from client as a request process it and sends
it back to the client as a response. Following are the
different types of web servers used with jsp (tomcat, web
logic,jboss,glue,j2ee, web server).

TOMCAT –Jakarta is a name of the company which releases


web servers. Apache is the web server which is used as
static web server. Apache tomcat is introduced as dynamic
web server.

HTML5 – Its next version of HTML 4.5 with advance


features like inbuilt plugging, auto resizing, multiple
platform support and rich java script engine.
Notepad++ - to write HTML5 and CSS3 (cascading style
sheets).

Dream viewer- To mix and format HTML pages.

XARA – To create menus.

SQL SERVER – To create and store database table.

Limitations of the project:


1. To access our application or site, internet must be there.
2. Only authorized people can login others has to register.

Scope of the project:


It will be used to old age home to monitor and to facilitate
the organization
By using this we can give them flexibility to connect their
family members and get in touch with their relatives and
update the status of old age people.
