Subject: Weekly Recap for Product X – Today’s Date

Executive Summary (TL;DR)

Short high-level and relevant statement including some or all of
- a notable and business relevant achievement
- a major next step or deliverable
- something interesting we learned
- a customer testimonial, or
- a thank-you to someone on the team or stakeholder who helped

Metrics and Customer Feedback:

One critical metric or data-point (show as a graph and explain the change)
This week’s customer research and testing activities
Key takeaways
(Keep the focus on the customer/business and what’s working and not. Include one testimonial
from users or quote from customer service emails and one thing you learned that you need to
improve on… perhaps a bug, usability issue, or problem emerged in the product. Don’t make
everything rosy!)

Recent Deliverables:
Recap of the your current team goal (e.g. Sprint goal)
- Deliverable 1 – link to story
- Deliverable 2 – link to story
- Deliverable 3 – link to story
(Pick news of most interest to the business and avoid jargon and detailed lists of bug fixes. If
you’re doing two-week sprints, show what you have started to work on in the first update and
then include successfully “Done” stories in the second.)

Upcoming Milestones:
Bullet-list your main deliverables and dates (be judicious, being vague is fine).
Highlight blockers or needs.

From the Team:

Personal update – new hire welcome, babies, birthdays, upcoming vacation, award, team
activity, anything to celebrate.
Call out to someone (or a small group) who went above and beyond. Describe what they did
and the impact.
(include a photo or link to a video if you can)
