5. What is your actual development process?
a. Have solid goals and come up with disovery plans. Step 1: 1.5 months before the
start of the quarter, I come up with a high-level PRD for at least the big problems we
want to solve and I share it with my trio - product designer and engineering manager.
~ sometimes I add to them the soon as I get into the quarter.
b. User Research and Data Analysis Merge: Step 2: Me and my designer and product
analyst start to run user research goals on the big projects, pair with a data analyst to
get to
c. How does that translate into solutions?
i. Step 3: trio starts to review the insights we got from user research, and how it
is gonna translate into our solutions.
ii. Step 4: I meet with my trio and sometimes executives CTO to discuss very
high solutions and how is that gonna look on a timeline. I sometimes involve
peers and ask them for peer-to-peer feedback too.
iii. We sometimes plan experiments early on, etc.
iv. Step 5: myself, my engineering manager, and designer, meet with the team, to
discuss feasibility, risks, etc. in proposed solutions
d. In product trio format, we go to our stakeholders, sharing the confidence and
solutions, and by that time, I hold stakeholders accountable for also showing me
how roadmaps and their work and KPIs are gonna look like within the quarter.
e. Then we usually have some counter thoughts on timelines, how we will put specific
ours, etc. Thus, we come up with version 2, then challenge it with CEO and finally
come up with version 3 and share it with the company.
6. Now that you have your quarterly work, how do you take that to an epic level?
a. After I have that 1-pager, I start to do some actual further product discovery work,
and look for specific data insights to come up with decisions.

c. I work on a workshop with my squad to discuss detailed feasibility, risks, how we will
mitigate them, rollout plan, etc.
d. sometimes I invite stakeholders to a workshop, involve them whether in decisions or
A/B testing in a prototype testing if it is an internal tool.
e. Finally, we go to pre-planning to review stories, look at the code when needed, go to
planning to estimate user stories and finally ship, post-assess, learn and iterate

1. Context: last quarter, my biggest and most impactful problem space was conversion funnels,
and specifically through solving drop-offs through the restaurant page. So goal here was
optimizing session to order conversion .
