Accessing BDR Solutions O365 and other resources from a PC or GFE Device.

 In a web browser, navigate to www.office.com.

 Sign in using BDR Solutions provided account credentials / email address.

 You can choose to “Stay signed in” and / or to “Save Password”.

 During the Microsoft 365 Sign In process, you may be prompted for additional authentication. If
your organization uses Microsoft Authenticator for multi-factor authentication, you might need
to approve a notification on your mobile device. (If Microsoft Authenticator is not already
installed on your mobile device, install it from the Play Store / Apple Store).

 From the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device. Select the “+” sign to add
an / another account. It will give the option to “Add Account”. Select “Work or School account”.

 From the “Add Work or School Account” screen, select “Scan a QR code”.

 The camera on the mobile device will open. Scan the QR code on the Microsoft Authenticator
screen of the laptop / desktop. This will add the account to the Windows Authenticator
application on the mobile device.
 Click “Next” on the Windows Authenticator screen of the laptop / desktop. This will send an
Authentication request to the Microsoft Authenticator application on the mobile device.
 Approve the Authentication request on the mobile device. Open the Microsoft Authenticator
app on your mobile device. Look for the authentication request related to your computer login.
Approve the request or enter a verification code if prompted.
 After successful authentication with Microsoft Authenticator, you should be able to log in to your
Windows account using the User ID / Email address and Password already established, or
provided by BDR Solutions if this is the first time logging into to the account.

 Once logged in to M365, you will be on the “Home Page”.

 Tools and applications are located in the left-hand side column. These include Outlook, Teams,
Word, Excel, Powerpoint and any others that you have been granted access to or licensed for. To
select a tool or applications, simply click on the icon in the left-hand column. You can also click
on the “Apps” icon in the left-hand column to see all / additional tools and applications.
 The “Quick Access” area in the center will begin to show recently used, viewed or edited tools
and applications on subsequent logins.

Note: Please remember these common-sense security policies:

 Always lock your PC when you get up from your desk


 Always use passwords on your work and personal computers. Do not store passwords on or near
your computer.
 Always use malware removal tools and anti-virus on your work and personal computers.
 BDR Solutions LLC devices / laptops cannot be taken overseas without specific permission to do
so, and then is allowed in only certain countries.
 Encrypt any device you plan to travel with.
 Follow all Information Assurance policies at your location to protect the integrity of the
government network you are allowed to access in performing your work.
 Report all actual or suspected security incidents to your supervisor or the BDR FSO immediately.
