Job description for Manual Tester

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Manual Tester with experience in


manual testing who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and
functionality of our software products through meticulous testing
processes, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with
developers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:
• Test Planning and Design: Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test
cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
Identify test scenarios for functional, regression, integration, and user
acceptance testing.
• Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on web, mobile, and desktop
applications. Execute test cases, log defects, and track their progress until
closure. Validate that software meets the business requirements and is
free of critical bugs.
• Defect Management: Report, track, and retest defects using defect
tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Collaborate with
developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and
other stakeholders to ensure that issues are understood, prioritized, and
resolved. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and
retrospectives.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date testing documentation and ensure
it is easily accessible for team members. Document test results and
provide comprehensive feedback to the development team.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to the testing process
and methodologies. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in
software testing.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and
testing methodologies.
• Experience with web, mobile, and desktop application testing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with API testing and SQL queries
