General Description
PAD Switch(Passenger airbag deactivation Switch) is the device which prevents Passenger airbag from being deployed when the
passenger seat is unoccupied as driver turning OFF PAD Switch.
When PAD Switch turned OFF, " PASSENGER SRS OFF" lamp on cluster turns ON.
DTC Description
The above DTCs are recorded when the defect of the Passenger airbag off warning lamp is detected in Passenger airbag off
warning lamp circuit.

Monitor Scantool Data
1. Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.
2. Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.
3. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
4. Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
- H : Historical fault
- P : Present fault

Terminal and Connector Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check shorting bar/shorting bar release pin and connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion,
contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
▶ Check airbag fuse, airbag off warning lamp, junction box, harness between junction block and SRS . Repair as necessary and
go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Verification of Vehicle Repair
After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault has been corrected
1. Connect scan tool and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode
2. Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
3. Operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
4. Are any DTC present ?
