Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

CO1 :: explain cloud economics and show the cost of cloud computing.

CO2 :: develop the right mindset to tackle security issues in the cloud environment and learn to
leverage the power of Microsoft Entra ID

CO3 :: describe the importance of data protection compliances and regulations, and utilize Azure
Policy to manage and enforce these compliance requirements.
CO4 :: discuss Azure Storage accounts, and implement strategies to ensure robust redundancy
and availability in cloud-based data storage solutions.

CO5 :: elaborate essential cloud infrastructure skills for robust application development and
deployment.

Fundamentals of Cloud Computing, Cost efficiency, Disaster recovery and business continuity,
Industry Use Cases, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a
Service (SaaS), Pricing models: pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, spot instances, Azure Pricing

Cloud Governance and Manage Identities : Authentication vs Authorisation, Zero trust, Cloud
security, Understand Microsoft Entra ID, configure user and group accounts, Configure role-based
access control, Secure your Azure resources with Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC)

Cloud Compliances and Regulations : Overview of Cloud Compliance, Digital Personal Data
Protection Act, HIPAA, GDPR, Microsoft Compliance, Introduction to Azure Policy: Understand its
purpose and functionality.
