Project 2: Plan and Build Internet Infrastructure


Case scenario
Under this project the candidate is expected to plan, design topology, build internet infrastructure
using Microsoft office Visio based on the given case scenario.
DV Hotel is a super competitor hotel which is found in Bishoftu. Due to number of customers
became increased from time to time: they want to expand additional building in Hawassa. The
quality, comfort ability and customer satisfaction are a core service issued by the hotel. There are
different services which are given by the hotel like meeting & training hall bedroom services,
food & beverages. As a chance, sudden disasters (Man-made, natural, hybrid disasters), total loss
of the building by fire, extended loss electrical power(blackout), technical failures of hardware
(computer, router, switches, and Wi-Fi, printer…etc) and software may face the hotel Butas a
business plc, the aim of the hotel is to give service for 24hrs/7days without any interruption.

Assume that you are assigned in DV Hotel as Hardware and Network Servicing Senior
Technician to follow the system status especially to install, monitor and maintain devices on IT
infrastructure The Hotel network should be expandable and secure.

The newly built G+6 building has 10 bedrooms with TV, 1 training hall with 15 computers and 1
printer in each floor. The building has four different departments, namely Human Resource,
Marketing Hotel Management, and ICT department the hotel wants to administer all departments
centrally.
Based on the above information you are to perform the following tasks.
