Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication to Secure


Your Access

1. Login to the AWS Management console

2. Scroll down to the MFA options


3. Download Google Authenticator App from
Play Store or App Store.

4. After downloading the authenticator app


head over to the MFA section in the IAM
console. Click on the assign MFA device
option.
5. After you have clicked next on your Assign
MFA Device option, you will be prompted
to choose a name for your device.

You can put any device name that you


want.
6. After typing the device name scroll down
you will see these three options. Click on
authenticator option.
7. After selecting the authenticator option you
will be taken to the next page and select on
SHOW QR code.
After clicking on this option you will be shown a
QR code.
In authenticator app select add new device
option and scan this QR code using your
authenticator app
Authenticator app will show 6 digit code.
Enter this code in MFA code1 and wait for 30
seconds you will get another code now enter
this code in the MFA code2 option.
8. If you have followed all the steps as shown,
you will see that when you go to your IAM
dashboard, you will see MFA account
enabled.
