2.1 Hawker 9750W0370-3 Steel Case 24V, 43Ah, Sealed Lead Acid Battery
2.1.1 This Hawker sealed lead acid (SLA) battery assembly consists of two 12-
Volt 43Ah sealed “monoblocks” connected in series within a steel case to
provide a 24 Volt 43 Ah power source to a DC Connector. The Hawker
monoblock design incorporates a series of individually sealed cells
interconnected by a unique through-wall weld design. Within these cells,
compressed absorbent fiberglass mats separate multiple, alternating thin,
positive and negative charged, pure lead plates. This thin plate
technology significantly enhances this battery’s engine start performance,
and the compressed plate assemblies used in the monoblock’s
construction enhances the battery’s resilience to shock and vibration.
2.1.3 At the end of the battery’s life, the individual monoblock design allows the
battery to be “reblocked”. A reblocking kit consists of a matched pair of
12V monoblocks, replacement busbars, installation hardware and new
servicing labels. By reblocking the battery, the battery life may be
extended indefinitely. The reblocking kit monoblocks are also shipped
fully charged and ready for installation. No special battery servicing room
or tools are required to reblock a battery.
2.1.4 For more detailed description of the battery, refer to the Hawker
Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) 2602-0056, Description and
Operation.
2.2.1The two aircraft batteries are installed in a dedicated battery bay in the
AFT section of the aircraft fuselage. These Hawker batteries are installed
in the same location as the batteries being removed.
2.2.2 For more detailed location of the existing battery system components and
battery locations, refer to Gulfstream G-II59A (G-III “AC”) and G-IV
Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Chapter 24-00-00, and also to
Securaplane Installation Drawing 105-1158-01.

5.3 Battery reblocking procedures are contained within the reblocking kit. Refer to
Hawker battery CMM 2602-0056, Testing and Fault Isolation.
7.1 The Hawker battery shall be visually inspected during general routine visual
inspections for system integrity, security, corrosion and chaffing in accordance
with existing aircraft maintenance schedules.

3 Months (90 days +/- 10 days
or 750 hrs +/- 50hrs) after If during any capacity check,
battery 18-month check and measured capacity is determined
each subsequent capacity to be < 90% (less than 90%) and >
check. 80% (greater than 80%) of the
new C1 rated capacity (43Ah).
NOTE: At any time during any capacity check, the measured battery capacity shows
remaining capacity is =/< 80% (equal to or less than 80%), the battery is to be
removed from service and reblocked or replaced in accordance with Hawker’s
approved procedures for this battery.
8.1 No special tools are required. All tools required to maintain or repair the battery
may be considered as “standard” by aircraft industry standards.
8.2 A detailed list of standard battery tools and equipment may be found in the
Hawker battery CMM, 2602-0056, Testing and Fault Isolation.

9.2 Battery fault isolation information may be found in the Hawker battery CMM,
2602-0056, Testing and Fault Isolation.
No changes are made to the existing aircraft electrical loads as a result of this
modification.
Refer to the Battery Installation Drawing, 105-1158-01 for wiring diagram changes.
This information should be added to the appropriate aircraft Wiring Diagram
Manual as necessary.
