Windows11 Install Instructions
This document provides a step-by-step guide for downloading and installing Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool. 1. Download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool:

Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download. c. A blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space or blank DVD (and DVD burner) if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted. 3. Select Download tool now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool. 4. If you agree to the license terms, select Accept. 5. On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next. 6. Select the language (English), edition (Windows 11 Pro), and architecture (64-bit) for Windows 11 7. Attach the USB flash drive or insert the DVD on the PC where you want to install Windows 11. 8. Restart your PC. 9. If your PC does not automatically boot to the USB or DVD media, you might have to open a boot menu or change the boot order in your PC's BIOS or UEFI settings. To open a boot menu or change the boot order, you'll typically need to press a key (such as F2, F12, Delete, or Esc) immediately after you turn on your PC. For instructions on accessing the boot menu or changing the boot order for your PC, check the documentation that came with your PC or go to the manufacturer's website. If you do not see the USB or DVD media device listed within the boot options, you may need to reach out to the PC manufacturer for instructions for temporarily disabling Secure Boot in your BIOS settings. 10. If changing the boot menu or order doesn't work, and your PC immediately boots into the OS you want to replace, it is possible the PC had not fully shut down. To ensure the PC fully shuts down, select the power button on the sign-in screen or on the Start menu and select Shut down. 11. On the Install Windows page, select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, and then select Next. 12. Select Install Windows. 13. Make sure Language, Time, and Keyboard are set to English, English, US, and click Next 14. Click Install Now 15. If prompted to enter a product key, choose “I don’t have a product key”. If you do not see this screen, you can skip the step. 16. Choose Windows 11 Pro and click Next. If you do not see this screen, you can skip the step. 17. Accept the Microsoft Agreement and click Next 18. Click “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) 19. Delete any partitions until only one Unallocated Space partition is left. Select that Unallocated Space partition and click Next 20. Installer will begin and reboot automatically when finished 21. At the initial setup screen, hit the key combination Shift+Fn+F10 to bring up the command prompt. Type in “OOBE\BYPASSNRO” (without quotes) and hit Enter. The computer will reboot automatically. 22. After reboot, the initial setup screen will appear again. Make sure United States country/region is selected and click Yes 23. Make sure US keyboard is selected and click Yes. Skip adding the secondary keyboard. 24. At the Let’s connect you to a network screen, click I don’t have internet 25. Continue with limited setup 26. Enter your name: simco 27. Enter and confirm your password: ground0 28. Choose any security questions with the answer: simco 29. Turn off all Privacy Settings and click Accept 30. Connect to wired network 31. Enable Remote Desktop a. Click the start icon and type Remote Desktop Settings b. Turn Remote Desktop on and Confirm 32. Click the Start/Windows button (bottom left of the screen) type command and open the command prompt app 33. Run the command ipconfig and send me the IPv4 Address (for example, it is something like 10.10.X.X)
