ABSTRACT
The main aim of this project is to save lives of people by providing blood. Our
project Online Blood Bank system using Android is developed so that users can
view the information of nearby hospitals, blood banks. This project is developed
by three perspective i.e. hospital, blood bank and patient/donor. We have
provided security for authenticated user as new user have to register according
to their type of perspective and existing user have to login. This project requires
internet connection. This application we are developing helps to select the
nearby hospital online instantly by tracing its location using GPS. We are also
proving a alert system for severe accidents as using that function an ambulance
will be sent to your destination without any wastage of time. This application
reduces the time to a greater extent that is searching for the required blood
through blood banks and hospitals. Thus this application provides the required
information in less time and also helps in quicker decision making. This project
acts as an important role in saving life of human beings and which is also its
main aim. The project Android Blood Bank system is developed so that users
can view the information about registered blood donors such as name, address,
and other such personal information along with their details of blood group and
other medical information of donor. The project also has a login page where in
the user is required to register and only then can view the availability of blood
and may also register to donate blood if he/she wishes to. This project requires
internet access and thus there is a disadvantage of internet failure. Thus this
application helps to select the right donor online instantly using medical details
along with the blood group. The main aim of developing this application is

INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE
The application developed in this study is based on both the web and Android
platform which will play an important role in making blood readily available for patients
who needed blood thereby increasing the likelihood of saving their lives. The web
application would act as a centralized database for blood banks, where blood banks go to
register and are able to update their blood inventory details in real-time. The mobile
application will be able to search through the centralized database for available blood

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE SCOPE

Blood donation is a kind of citizen's social responsibility in which an individual


can willingly donate blood via our app.
