Please see attached document regarding Aginet Config for more detail.
Also wanted to add – Please do not forget to click on “Stop Upgrading” before you disconnect the computer from the devices.
Thank you.

Hi Collen
I had a similar issue getting the device to detect, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Aginet Config as well as Winpcap, which I had previously installed for something else.
I’ve attached the Aginet Config 3.0 documentation to refer to, but I am going to go through the setup steps and simplify it here.
1. After installing Aginet, set a static IP of 192.168.66.10 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 on your NIC that you will be connecting to the switch with.
2. The device’s default IP is 192.168.0.1 which is on a different subnet but don’t worry about changing this, it will still detect the device regardless.
3. Launch the Aginet Config and go to “System Settings”, then select the NIC that you set the static IP address on and click apply.
4. Go to “Firmware Upgrade” and click the + icon to add and name the ISP Profile. Then click “+Add” to upload the middle firmware file. (Download:
https://mega.nz/file/2k8VUZKa#qUyQ65dnMhJAzfz-QM8apJqN_glmtIucB5r5aOoB5Mc)
5. Return to the dashboard, click on “Upgrade”, and select the ISP profile you created. After you do this, your status will change to Firmware Upgrading in the top left.
6. While Aginet Config is set to firmware upgrading, you will need to reboot the device that you want to upgrade. Once you reboot the device, it should automatically
appear under “Operation Logs” with the devices upgrade status.
7. Once the middle firmware has successfully upgraded on the devices, you can repeat the above steps to upgrade to the final firmware, which you would need to
replace the middle firmware file with the final firmware bin file. (Final FW Download: https://mega.nz/file/yhdU3LwC#CrReCwP6-QfHtsekpsyWebVJ7-
ZCI7HMwG0ZtP_xXWs)
That’s the firmware upgrading, next steps would be configure the device using Aginet Config, which basically follows the same steps to configure the devices.
I have already modified a devices config to use TR-098 instead of TR-181 and backed up the config, which we will import into Aginet Config for the configuration portion – I
will send you the config file and steps in a separate email, I am just busty testing the default config and making sure nothing changes when the device gets reset to etc.
You can go ahead with the firmware upgrades so long and we can do the configuration afterwards.
Please let me know if you run into any issues or require any assistance with the firmware upgrades.
Thank you
Kind Regards,

Hi Collen
The firmware version should be: 1.1.0 3.1.0 v608a.0 Build 231110 Rel.26965n.
Unfortunately, you can’t straight upgrade to this firmware version as it will require a middle firmware upgrade prior to upgrading the version mentioned.
With regards to your question about the devices appearing in the Aginet Config – this is triggered by device reset / reboot. So once the device is connected to your switch,
you can reboot the device and it should appear in the list.
I have some training this morning, but I will go through the setup on my end to confirm everything and send through a step-by-step guide on what exactly needs to be
done.
Will advise shortly, and send you the updated firmware but will still need to upgrade the middle firmware
(EX141v1_1.1.0_3.1.0_UP_BOOT_TRANS_agc3000(231116)_2023-11-16_11.42.57.bin https://mega.nz/file/2k8VUZKa#qUyQ65dnMhJAzfz-
QM8apJqN_glmtIucB5r5aOoB5Mc) before upgrading the updated firmware which I will send through shortly. (just want to confirm changes and test before I do)
Thank you

Hi Lawrance,
Can you please advise here on what needs to be done on the devices, are these devices already updated? is the Aginet sorted as I raised that the devices are not
appearing on the system to do batch configuration?
You communicated with Gabby today but it is still not clear what needs to be done exactly. Please communicate here for better clarification.

Hi Collen
It shouldn’t have a negative impact, the Aginet config just simplifies bulk firmware upgrades and configurations, so you can have certain settings preconfigured on default,
such as TR-069 settings etc.
Essentially, if you have all devices reporting to an ACS server, you could manage these configurations and upgrades in bulk via the ACS server.
Other than consuming more time, doing the firmware upgrade manually shouldn’t cause any issues.

Hi Eugene,
Please confirm if the following will have a negative impact on the firmware upgrade.
1. Will doing the upgrade manually one by one have any negative impact or is it still fine?
2. I saw you can use the router as your main to upgrade the others at a go, Will it also have any negative impact or any firmware upgrade in the sequence
stated will be okay?

Hi Collen
I am experiencing the same issue on a test environment – I am busy investigating and will advise asap.
I suspect it could be related to WinPcap but will let you know shorly.

Hi Team,
I would like to know that when you connect the devices on the closed network does the system automatically pick them up or do we have to import them? I
have done the configurations as per the guide but the devices are not appearing.

Hi Collen,
Please note that you need to upgrade to middle firmware first and then to final firmware. You can use Aginet config to do batch upgrade, tools are as attached.
Please try to use Aginet 3.0 to upgrade firmware for EX141.
Please upgrade mid fw first: EX141v1_1.1.0_3.1.0_UP_BOOT_TRANS_agc3000(231116)_2023-11-16_11.42.57.bin

Hi Eugene,
please test for upgrading the EX141 asap by using Aginet Config and let us know the result by email. You need to upgrade to middle firmware first and then to official
firmware.
