What is Problem Solving?
This is the process by which we find solutions to our
problems
Definition of a Problem
A problem is any task which requires a solution to give a desired outcome

The problem may be simple or complex

In order for us to arrive at a solution we must:

1. Have a clear understanding of the problem

2. Determine the resources needed
3. Determine the desired results
4. Consider the methods we can use to achieve the desired result
5. Choose the best option
Steps in Problem Solving
1. Define/ Identify the problem
2. Propose and evaluate solutions
3. Determine the most efficient solution
4. Develop an algorithm to solve the problem
5. Test and validate the solution
Examples of Problems to Solve
● Getting to School from Spanish Town
● Getting your laundry done
● Mix a jug of lemonade
Thank you for watching!
Group Break Out Sessions
