Ioqm Practice Test-3
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
01. Use of mobile phones, smartphones, ipads, calculators, programmable wrist watches is
STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Only ordinary pens and pencils are allowed inside the
Examination hall.
02. The correction is done by machines through scanning. On the OMR Sheet, darken
bubbles completely with a black pencil or a black or blue ball pen. Darken the bubbles
completely only after you are sure of your answer; else, erasing may lead to the OMR
sheet getting damaged and the machine may not be able to read the answer.
03. The name, email address, and date of birth entered on the OMR sheet will be your login
credentials for accessing your PRMO score.
04. Incomplete/Incorrectly and carelessly filled information may disqualify your
candidature.
05. Each question has a one or two-digit number as answer. The first diagram below
shows improper and proper way of darkening the bubbles with detailed instructions.
The second diagram shows how to mark a 2-digit number and a 1-digit number.
06. The answer you write on OMR sheet is irrelevant. The darkened bubble will be
considered as your final answer.
07. Questions 1 to 5 carry 2 marks each; questions 6 to 10 carry 3 marks each;
questions 11 to 15 carry 5 marks each.
08. All questions are compulsory.
09. There are no negative marks.
10. Do all rough work in the space provided below for it. You also have blank pages at the
end of the question paper to continue with rough work.
11. After the exam, you may take away the Candidate’s copy of the OMR sheet.
12. Preserve your copy of OMR sheet till the end of current Olympiad season. You will need
it later for verification purposes.
13. You may take away the question paper after the examination.

CLASS 8th & 9th IOQM ADV PRACTICE TEST-3_Dt.03-02-2025
3. The circumcircle with centre ‘O’ of the quadrilateral ABCD has a radius 2. AC
6. In the figure below, AB and CD are parallel chords of a circle with centre O and
radius r cm. It is given that AB = 46 cm, CD = 18 cm and AOB = 3COD. Find
the value of r.
7. In the figure below, ABC is an isosceles triangle inscribed in a circle with centre
O and diameter AD, with AB = AC. AD intersects BC at E, and F is the midpoint
of OE. Given that BD is parallel to FC and BC 2 5cm , find the length of CD2
in cm.
8. When put some smaller circles of radii 1 into a big circle of radius 11, such that
each small circle is tangent to the big circle internally, and any two small circles
have no overlapped part. How many small circles can be put in at most?
9. ABCD is a square of side 1, M is centre of the circle taking AD as the diameter,
E is a point on the side AB such that CE is tangent to the circle with centre M.
Given that the area of CBE is of the form m/n in simplest form, find the value
of m + n.
10. In ABC with AB = 12, BC = 13, and AC = 15, let M be a point on AC such that
the incircles of ABM and BCM have equal radii. Let p and q be positive
AM p
relatively prime integers such that . Find p + q.
CM q
11. When extending the sides AB, BC, CA of ABC to B, C, A respectively, such
that AB = 2AB, CC = 2BC, AA = 3CA. If the area of ABC is 1, find the area of
ABC
12. ABCD is a rectangle. AD = 12, AB = 5. P is a point on AD, PE BD at E, PF AC
at F. If PE + PF = m/n in simplest form, then find the value of m + n.
13. In ABC , D, E, F are on the sides BC, CA, AB respectively, such that they are
concurrent at a point G, BD = 2CD, the areas S1 = [GEC]=3, S2 = [GCD] = 4.
Find the area of ABC .
14. Let P be an interior point of triangle ABC and extend lines from the vertices
through P to the opposite sides. Let a, b, c, and d denote the lengths of the
segments indicated in the figure below. Find the value of √ , if a + b + c = 43
and d = 3.
15. In the isosceles right triangle ABC, AB =1, A = 90°, E is the midpoint of the leg
AC. The point F is on the base BC such that EF BE. If the area of CEF is
m/n in simplest form, then find the value of m + n.
