1. Introduction
The Department of Science & Computer Science at MIT Arts, Commerce & Science College
organized a workshop on "Automation Software Testing with Selenium" on March 1, 2025.
The workshop aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and insights into the
latest trends and practices in software testing automation.

Resource Person: Mrs. Diksha Deshmukh, Software Test Engineer at Amdocs, Pune,
and an alumna of MIT ACSC, Alandi(D), Pune.
Participants: Students of TYBSC(CS) from divisions 11, 12, and 13.

4. Workshop Content
Mrs. Diksha Deshmukh covered various aspects of Selenium, a popular tool for automating
web browsers. The session included:
- Writing Test Scripts: Practical examples of writing and executing test scripts using
Selenium WebDriver.
- Handling Web Elements: Techniques for interacting with web elements such as buttons,
text boxes, dropdowns, and alerts.
- Test Automation Frameworks: Introduction to various frameworks like TestNG and JUnit
for organizing and running test cases.
- Best Practices: Tips and best practices for effective test automation, including maintaining
test scripts and handling dynamic content.
5. Conclusion
The workshop was highly informative and provided students with valuable knowledge and
practical skills in automation software testing. The hands-on approach helped students
understand the complexities and nuances of using Selenium for real-world applications. The
session concluded with a Q&A round, where students clarified their doubts and discussed
