What you need to know about cyber bullying

Cyberbullying is a global problem and it has increased significantly in the last decade. 1_____
Cyberbullying on social media now accounts for around a fifth of all bullying recorded. It is important
that young people understand what constitutes cyberbullying so they can report it early on.

What is cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is using digital technologies to anger, scare, or embarrass another person. It might
involve spreading lies about someone, posting embarrassing photos or videos, or sending nasty
messages. 2_____ When this kind of behaviour happens repeatedly, it can lead to victims to
becoming depressed. It can also cause other health problems, such as sleep loss, headaches or
stomach aches.

How do you know if you’re being cyberbullied?

We all like a joke every now and then, but there’s a difference between people laughing with you

What should you do?

If you suspect you or someone you know is being cyberbullied, you need to tell someone. The

There are several things you can do to help you stay safer.
