● To understand what actions have to be taken when a computer freezes or acts weird.

● To learn how to check if the keyboard doesn’t work.
● To understand the importance of cleaning the keyboard regularly and in the proper way

B. Development of Knowledge – Implementation
 Hand out the worksheets and mention a few things about the
structure and content of the sheet.
 During the activity:

o Ask students to start the Task Manager in order to end an
open program.
o Remove the cable between the monitor and the computer
and ask students to identify the particular problem.
o Show students how to use the Disk Defragmenter and Disk
Cleanup functions.
o Explain to students how they can solve Internet connection
problems and more specifically:
 Explain to students what an I.P. address is.
 Help students open the Network and Sharing center
in order to realize that the I.P address and the DNS
server address are obtained automatically.
 Explain to students that Windows assigns a random
APIPA (Automatic Private IP Addressing) address
to a computer.
 Help students fill in the concept map.

Assessment:  Hand out an evaluation sheet to every student and ask them to
